Hydrating Cleanser

I switched to the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser a few months ago, and I honestly wish I’d done it sooner. This cleanser is a game-changer for anyone with dry or sensitive skin. It has a creamy, lotion-like texture that feels incredibly gentle the moment it touches your face—no stripping, no tightness, no irritation afterwards. What makes it stand out is the formula. It cleanses thoroughly without foaming (which I’ve learned can be drying), while delivering ceramides and hyaluronic acid to support the skin barrier and lock in moisture. After rinsing, my skin feels soft, calm, and properly hydrated, not squeaky or raw. I’ve also used it as a morning cleanser and a second cleanse at night—it removes light makeup and daily grime with ease. Plus, it’s fragrance-free, non-comedogenic, and approved by the National Eczema Association. The large bottle lasts for months, making it fantastic value for money. THE HOLY GRAIL OF CLEANSERS!!! I have a very sensitive skin with roscea and acne, this cleanser will feels like a balm on the skin. The bottle size lasts a good 2 months washin in the morning and at night. When you wet your face and put a pump of this, it feels very soothing and cushions the roughness of your fingers against the skin. When you rinse it off, your skin feels hydrated and does not dry out in a matter of seconds like with other cleansers. Due to my skin condition, this is the only cleanser I could find that does not make my skin worse. It does not have active ingredients to treat things like acne but it will not make your skin worse.

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser is a gentle and effective option for normal to dry skin. The large bottle offers very good value and has lasted me over six months with twice-daily use, with at least a quarter still remaining. It has a very light, pleasant scent and a smooth, creamy consistency similar to double cream, which feels comfortable during use. It cleans the skin well without leaving it tight or stripped and works particularly well as a second cleanser in a double cleansing routine. The formulation is gentle overall, although I have occasionally experienced slight stinging when using it immediately after active ingredients such as tretinoin, glycolic acid, or other retinoids. However, it has not caused any redness or lasting irritation. The main drawback is the pump, which tends to dispense more product than is needed, leading to some waste. I therefore now only use half a pump which covers not only my fave but my neck as well. Despite this, it remains a reliable everyday cleanser that performs well and lasts a long time, making it good value for money.

After rinsing, my skin just feels soft and hydrated, not squeaky clean in a bad way. It feels calm, comfortable, and like my skin barrier hasn’t been messed with. I’ve used this through different seasons, different routines, and even when my skin has been more sensitive, and it’s always been reliable. If you have normal to dry skin and want a cleanser you can use daily without worrying about overdoing it, this is genuinely a solid choice. It’s simple, it works, and for me it’s been a very long-term, trustworthy skincare staple.

Six months ago I developed adult acne completely out of the blue. Painful spots, persistent breakouts and clusters of closed comedones that just wouldn’t shift. I tried what felt like everything - salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, exfoliating cleansers, “targeted” acne face washes - and my skin only became more irritated, tight and reactive. Nothing improved long-term. Switching to this cleanser was a turning point. What makes it different is that it doesn’t rely on harsh active ingredients that can compromise the skin barrier. Instead of constantly stripping my skin, this simply cleanses effectively while leaving it calm and balanced. Within a couple of weeks I noticed fewer new breakouts. By week four, the closed comedones had significantly reduced, and my overall skin texture looked clearer and smoother. I could not recommend this wash enough. It’s also great value for money.

La crème lavante a une texture très douce et onctueuse. Elle s’étale facilement sur la peau et mousse légèrement sans être agressive. Elle donne une sensation confortable dès l’application.

Me va bien con mi piel seca, hace bastante espuma y no hace falta usar mucho producto. Es un gran limpiador para el rostro. Me gusta.

Ma peau est très sensible. Ce produit hydrate la peau au lieu de l'assécher. Je sens ma peau plus pulpeuse et moins sèche après plusieurs semaines d'utilisation. Bon achat.
