Kohree 12 Volt Car Refrigerator, 42 Quart (40L) Car Fridge for Camping

We use this when traveling to keep drinks and snacks cold. Used to use a cooler with ice, but that was a pain. Everything gets wet as the ice melts. This thing is awesome! My truck has an AC receptacle in the console (back seat) that powers it easily. Also has the capability to plug into the 12v socket too. No need for an on-board battery. We bought this particular one because of the great experience we had with the larger 43 cu ft model. Both are well made and were fantastic on our last camping trip as the fridge in our camper quit working right before we left. Holds temp well, even when the power is disconnected for short periods while the truck is not running. Turns right back on at the setting once power is restored. They are worth every penny paid. Yes, the freezer in the big one will keep ice pops and ice cream frozen. We used the small section as the freezer.

This refrigerator has surpassed our expectations, especially considering our previous experiences with various models. Our perishable goods consistently remain frozen, which is essential given our profession as truck drivers and the extensive food preparation required for each trip. The extended shelf life this remarkable appliance provides for our food items is highly advantageous. It operates with exceptional quietness, making its presence almost imperceptible, and represents a significant return on investment. I particularly appreciate the handle and the cooler-like aesthetic, as well as its user-friendly interface; simply pressing the buttons to the desired temperature activates the unit. I also believe it offers considerable versatility for beverages and similar items.

We’ve had the Kohree car fridge for a few weeks and have used it several times, from supplementing the fridge in our rv to keeping drinks cold on a road trip and taking food to a family reunion. It really will cool to -4F - the ice cream stays frozen! We like the ability to have either side be a freezer or fridge to suit our needs. It doesn’t draw much power, and we’ve no issues with excessive battery drain while powering from the car. We also have a 300w Jackery unit that we power from its 12v port. It’ll keep it running for 6 hours if needed. I also like that if power is interrupted while switching from one power source to another. It just powers back up which having to touch the control panel. I highly recommend it!

This is a very versatile portable refrigerator I use it to keep drinks and food cool. The ability to adjust it from slightly cool to freezing is very useful. I needed it to keep water frozen over a 3 day trip and it was flawless. This unit stayed at 11 degrees F easily. It did flex down to as low as 0 but was never too warm. Quietly working plugged into the 110V outlet in my vehicle. Be aware that it is not light.

I’m blown away with this fridge / freezer. It runs on both 12v DC so I can use it in my camper with the standard batteries as well on 120v AC so any normal outlet. The fridge came very well packaged. It has an awesome grab / carry handle and is the perfect size for shorter camping trips, or just getting out into the mountains or beach for an adventure. It fits perfect in a trunk or backseat. It cools down surprisingly fast and is quiet enough that you don’t even notice it running. The housing is plastic so I am extra careful to not be too rough with it, but so far it’s held up super well to everything I’ve thrown at it. Overall, super happy with the purchase and continually impressed with Kohree camping products.

As a truckdriver I spent years using a 12v cooler from a truck stop, and never knew what I was missing until getting this unit. It's been running solid since purchase, keeps everything cold (instead of just cool), and it's nice to be able to bring food with me on my travels. I never could trust those coolers to keep my food from spoiling, especially in summer months, but this has been great so far. Highly recommend! Also, for anyone curious, these larger units are slightly larger then the Coleman 40qt koolatron cooler. They're much heavier, also. 3 month update: lowered to 1 star. The plastic handle that keeps the lid closed has snapped off. My first instinct was to contact the company to see about a replacement handle, however several days now I haven't been able to access their website to even contact them. It will remain at 1 star until it's resolved. 5 month update: after my 1 star edit, they reached out to me and provided me with a replacement part, shipped direct from the manufacturer. I have received the handle and installed it, and it's working perfectly. I want to note I did still use the cooler without the handle, and it performed well without being 'locked' shut, better than my initial assumption. I have raised it back to 4 stars, as the issue with their website and not being able to contact them if there's an issue is still, well, an issue. However I feel they made the situation right, the cooler is still working fantastic, and I would have no issues ordering again, or recommending it to someone. 6 month update, the last update: the cooler has broken again, this time a screw for the lid hinge. I am not overly hard on the cooler, but having it break twice within the first 6 months, it's clear this cooler will not be a long term solution for me. Even if they ship me a new lid in the next 2 months, it's just a matter of "what's next". I can no longer recommend this product. 18 month update: after a year and a half of owning this, I'm finally removing it from my truck. It's worked well since I've had all the issues, and now both lid hinges have broken, and the compressor is getting quite loud. I'm honestly surprised it last this long given the early issues I had, but I still can't recommend this because of those issues.

Works great as described. Use it nonstop. Temp settings have a memory backup so when powered down for a weekend it remembers last setting. Lids can be changed to open either side. Only dislike it the 12 volt plug end. Doesn’t work in all outlets. Replaced end with a better quality plug.

Absolutely amazing. I bought this for my boat but I have been using it in my garage for a couple of months now and I’m thinking I am not going to put it in my boat. I love being able to get a cold water when I’m working in the garage and I also keep some candy bars and little Debbie Apple pies.
