I found this to be the most valuable thing I bought after liposuction, tummy tuck and breast augmentation. Do measure yourself as the sizing is not “off the shelf” sizing. These do not stretch out after continuous use like a few other brands I tried. They maintain their shape. The benefit of having the open bottom should not be overlooked. The shorts style also keeps the item from riding up. So yes it is expensive and yes you may be required to buy more than one as the swelling goes down but wear a binder for 5 days straight and you will be reaching for one of these too. So much more comfortable.

I recently had a tummy tuck and ordered this for recovery. I am 5'3" 165 and ordered this in a XL because I needed room for the abdominal board and some padding. This is the short version, and since I'm short I thought it would work. However, the straps really rub in and after half a day it felt like a sunburn. My husband had a genius idea of cutting a shirt and putting it under and has worked perfectly. The opening at the crotch works really well, even though I was concerned at first, there has been no issues so far ( underwear for discretion:)). The compression is nice, not too tight at all and the fabric has more give because it is a step one recovery and not a daily worn faja for shaping. I normally wear a size medium clothes for reference. Legs are not too tight and are like spandex shorts. Overall it is nice, but even if you are short, I would consider the taller version because of the strap rubbing issue. If not, a shirt under works fine.

I followed the size chart and first order an xxl even though I am 5’6 and 160 lbs. that’s what size it suggested I order. That was way too big, so then ordered this one. An xl. Washed it and it’s too big. So I couldn’t return. I ended up with a large and it’s perfect. But wasted a lot of money figuring that out.

I ordered many different garments before finding this one. They all sucked to be honest. This one is the most comfortable for me. It runs a little large. I returned the XxL and got the XL which works perfect. I'm 5'6" 190 lbs the straps are a little short. Also, it has the rubber like printing for the tag on the inside. For me this is a big deal as I'm allergic to it.

This was a recovery changer. It is so comfortable. Previously, I had to wear the surgical binder until cleared for phase 2, which was so hard to wear. I put this Matena post-surgery girdle on today and my body thanked me. It actually works better than the surgical binder. It fits the entire surgery area, is comfortable over incisions, moves with me without constant adjustment, and is way more comfortable on bruising and swelling. I highly recommend it. Buy a slightly larger size to start (it’s adjustable) and move to a smaller size as your swelling recedes. Definitely buy it!

I highly recommend this product. I bought it in several different sizes now as I’ve sized down since my surgery it was by far the most comfortable.

I purchased two of these because the first one tore and I ordered another one. I received the second one and within a month, it started ripping at the seams near the opening to use the restroom. It's very thin material so it's not a good support garment for postpartum or after an abdominalplasty. This can be used for a regular girdle. Also, they have 3 support levels, this one is a Step 1 but they advertise it as a 2. If the compression was better, it could be a great garment.
