MARENA Stage 2 Short Length Pull On Girdle with High-Back – Tummy Control Post Surgery

This is the same brand I was given by my Dr after surgery. It has good compression around my abdominal, but not too tight. The area around my rib cage is a bit uncomfortable, but with other brand I tried that was unbearable. It is currently the hottest part of summer so these are not helping but I’m not sure there’s any other material that would be better for the heat & still compress. I’m only 5’1” so the legs on this are too long to wear with shorts. But it’s much more comfortable than the style made like underwear, as that one cuts into my legs. I have to wear compression all day every day so I’ve tried several different types & this one by far is the best I’ve found. I went by the size chart & it was accurate.

If you have abdominal surgery of any kind, you will likely be told by your surgeon to wear a compression garment for a number of weeks. This brand was the more comfortable of the two that I purchased. It has the advantage of drying very rapidly. You can wash it out by hand and hang it up and it will be ready to wear in the morning. It is significantly more expensive than some of the other brands. Shop for sales and purchase in advance of your surgery.

Overall I really like this product. It is mostly super comfortable but the straps dig into my shoulders SO bad. I was able to find a remedy- I safety pins the wide straps of my bra around the straps of the garment to keep them from rubbing me raw 👌 The sizing is immensely off. According to me measurements I would be between a 2x(hips) and 3x (waist) I went for a 2x and it was way too big. I exchanged for a XL which was better but still not much compression and am currently waiting for a L. I am 3 weeks post lower back and flank liposuction. I would recommend but good luck finding the right size!

My only complaint is the location of the metal piece for adjusting shoulder straps. When close to fully extended it lands in a very sensitive area (front, close to armpit) and is quite painful. Ordered shoulder strap cushions to see if it will work over this area.

I am 12 days post op lipo and breast lift and this garment is perfect for what I needed. My only problem is that it is tight around the under breast area but that was expected with the measurements I took. You HAVE to measure yourself. I never wear an XL in anything, but this XL fit like a glove. Also, the straps can be uncomfortable but you don’t need to wear them and the garment still stays in place. Great material and I highly recommend.
