LinkTap Q1 4-Port Smart Water Timer (Req. Gateway), Multiple Power Options

LinkTap Q1 4-port- using in back-yard of home (~10,000 sqft lot). Wow. Gateway setup ridiculously easy- plug into gateway or router. Wow- nice app. Wow- Q1 immediately worked (50+ feet from gateway inside home). Wow- easy to connect poly- pipe and pressure reducer. Wow- easy to run pipe over dirt (buried under wood chips). Wow- awesome app monitoring gallons/minute/ total gallons used. Wow- easy to set up faults and system shutdown. Wow- fun to run system from cell phone (from anywhere). Photos show ½" PVC pipe (painted gloss gray- prevents sunburn) attached to block/ stucco fence ~16' from exterior walls of house). PVC runs to ext hose bib with back-flo preventer. ALSO- previously purchased single valve LinkTap G2 and flow sensor (awesome) which I may use to run a single pipe system in the front yard... buy the Q1 for multiple zones; G2 for a single. Very well built and engineered.

I am really impressed with the Link Tap products and support. I started with a D1 device in 2023, added a second after trying it for a few months. I then needed to add another zone so I got the Q1 in 2025 and put one of the D1s downstream. This allowed me to clean up the distribution cluster to look nicer. I use it mostly for gardens but also to add water to my pool. I am away a lot so the ability to view and manage the devices remotely is critical for me. These have a great ability to function even far from the WIFI device. The Software is easy to use. If they lose connection, they still work, but I cannot monitor until it is regained. What has compelled me to write my review is when I got an error on my Q1 that indicated the water was not flowing. I was home at the time and able to check and the water was indeed flowing. I reached out to Tech support and within 24 hours got a response with an offer to send the parts needed to repair it.

Been using LinkTap products for a few years now (since 2019) and this unit makes setting up after winter much easier. Originally, I had a system where I used 10 single port LinkTaps to water my lawn. I set up 5 zones in the front yard and 5 zones in the back yard. As one can imagine, this made winterizing the system very time consuming. Additionally, the 10 LinkTaps required 40 AA batteries, two 4 way hose splitters, and 2 2 way hose splitters. Now I have two of the Q1s and 2 single port LinkTaps which only require 8 AA and 4 9v batteries and 2 2 way splitters. This setup significantly reduces chances for a leak in the system and the number of batteries I will have to purchase in the future. These Q1s seem to built with the same high quality that the earlier G1 and G2 models I have been using and I really like the instant on/off manual button on the control unit.

Yes they're 2x the price as the rest, but guess why that is? these don't break, can handle frost, have extreme range and have the best software

Works well. This is nice as you can overlap opening multiple zones. The only draw back is the 2 piece design (value controller and value). This is good for limited space but finding a spot to hang/mount the controller may not be possible (this usually means it will sit on the ground). It is nice that the flow meter built in. In tight spaces it can be a bit hard to screw on the value. Only draw back it that it loses it signal some of the time. Weather is not necessary very accurate and there can be misses for rain. I do wish they add in a function for personal weather stations for more accurate weather.

This is the best watering system on the consumer market. the schedules can all be adjusted by the minute, controlled by an app on your phone, or even locally controlled at the water spigot. Highly Recommend!

Easy to set up and the App is great.

Purchased 2-4 Zone and also an additional single for a total of 9 gardening zones. We have 23 raised gardens and this system was easy to set up and maintain. After much research of different brands so glad we went with LinkTap. Highly recommend!

tolle Erweiterung für das bestehende System. Ich kann link TAP nur empfehlen. Auch wegen der Offenheit des Systems zu Gardena und er Möglichkeit, selbst Dinge zu implementieren. Wie zum Beispiel eine Regenfasspumpe mit automatischer Einspeisung in das Bewässerungssystem.

This is the best of the best from the automated irrigation world. Not only the products are high quality, the app provides you with so many functions to program or run watering cycles in demand. Every single feature I could think of is there. Thanks for such a great product!

This is my second purchase from LinkTap and I can confidently recommend it to anyone looking for a smart, efficient and reliable irrigation system. A lot of thought has gone into the design of the hardware, as well as the accompanying app, down to the way it is being boxed/packaged. Installation instructions are clear and there are also supporting videos on YouTube if needed. Spare parts and additional accessories are available to purchase directly on their website or through Amazon (although the full range doesn’t seem to be on Amazon), which is a great selling point compared to other systems. On the topic of customer service (yes, they have one!) I have experienced a small issue with the Q1 system (cable/plug not matching). The speed of response and the quality of the support I have received was second to none (thank you Jack!). In summary, the system is offering great range and functionalities, is user friendly, has spare parts and accessories available and is supported by great customer service - I don’t think anyone could ask for more.
