Pricey and more of a vanity/glamping item but still super cool!
These things are crazy expensive, and I found myself wondering why I needed it in the first place. And the honest truth is - I didn't. Yet I still wanted it. Why? Well, more than the aesthetic appeal, it actually is useful to have a canister than you can fill from either the regular isobutane canister or the tall aerosol butane type. If you're an ultralight backpacker, skip this one and just go with the regular canisters. It's pretty hefty. That said, for everything else it's great. I just wish it was in the $25 to $29 price range. If it ever goes on sale, I'll definitely buy a backup.

Easy to use, economic to fill
Easy to use. Fit and finish is great like every other campingmoon product I have bought. Super durable. Functions well with all of my isobutane products just like it should. This is my 4th refillable tank from campingmoon, and its just as good as the other 3 (2x 15g and 1x 110g). Pretty sure I mentioned this in another review, but the first fill takes some work. I am pretty sure it is purging the air out of the tank, but it takes quite a few purges and fills to get the full capacity in. I fill them with propane using the adapters from campingmoon and a mr heater fuel keg. It costs me pennies on the dollar compared to buying isobutane, and it will provide better cold weather performance

Not Compatible — Useless Canister for EN417 Devices
At first, I thought this canister was defective — no gas came out when pressing the valve, and none of my EN417-compatible devices (Jetboil, Snow Peak lantern) worked with it. But after contacting support and rechecking the manual, I realized the canister ships empty by design and includes a check valve that prevents accidental discharge. After filling it using a standard EN417-to-EN417 adapter, everything worked perfectly! The build quality is excellent — solid metal construction, leak-proof, and compact enough for minimalist setups. Tip: This product is meant to be refilled manually. Weigh it before and after to confirm it’s full (~30g of butane). Don’t expect gas to come out just by pressing on the valve — it’s a safety feature. Highly recommended for lightweight backpacking and anyone who wants a reusable solution.

A Game Changer
The unit is an excellent way to have a gas stove at an affordable price because you can refill it with cheap butane (the aerosol can gas) instead of using those expensive camping gas cans. While I have refilled camping gas cans before, I am yet to find one that doesn't say 'DO NOT REFILL' on it. I know that is mostly to protect their profit margins but why risk it? This Camping Moon refillable cylinder takes the cost and the risk out of having fuel on hand for your adventures. It is easy to refill; the only downside is the weight but that is easily outdone by the cost savings. 35g will last a couple of days of camping cooking.

To heavy
Bad product good idea

Good quality, but really too heavy.
These are nice durable tanks, but a bit on the heavy side. Not sure I’d want to use for ultralight backpacking. They are easy enough to use though and they definitely meet their function. They’re not really that expensive but bit expensive for coming from China. Their size is about the same as the non-refillable’s.

Do not over fill
Do not over fill. It can be over filled “don’t”. Nicely manufactured, nice high quality feel.

Really well made. My top tip for people that don’t read the manual, is to put the canister in the freezer for at least 30 minutes. You will be able to fill it with more gas if you do. Also don’t lose the canister cap, you’ll need it to keep gas in it for longer. Without the cap the canister will empty itself over time. Hope that helps!

Super fast delivery by Amazon. Product as described. The first thing that struck me is how well made and rugged this refillable canister is - no worries of this rusting, splitting or denting. I bought this to upgrade my Toaks 500ml cook set from alcohol to gas. This canister stows nicely in the 500ml cup/pot with enough room to accommodate a mini Bic lighter, folding spork, my BRS mico gas stove and some instant milk tea, beef cubes and wet wipes. This canister has a screw-in stabilizer which will also fit in the pot to make using a larger pan less tippy. The cartridge ha knurling on the bottom edge to assist with screwing in your stove. I tested the boil time on 400ml of water at 3:44 with this gas stove combo, versus over 6 min with the alcohol stove. This is one great piece of hiking gear that will last years and heat many a trail meal and hot drink.
