Is this bat for hardball?

My 8 year old son is using this fine for red ball. Just ensure it is knocked in first.

I got a size 1 for my 6 year old grandson...a fantastic little bat . I phoned Woodworm to check whether it was rubber sprung and found them a really helpful company so if I were you just give them a ring.

What grade willow is it

Sorry I can't help with this question. I was persuaded to go with this bat by other reviewers on Amazon who said it was made from willow, though probably not English willow. My grandson, who will shortly be 9, wanted a 'proper' bat not a synthetic one which influenced my choice

The bat looked good on arrival but after a few weeks started to split bit by bit. Poor wood quality though it stated English willow.
