It's Not Summer Without You: Book 2 in the Summer I Turned Pretty Series

Dramatic, tear jerking, warm, cliff hanger, amazing must read. It’s the most interesting book I’ve read for months. MUST READ!

The quality of the book sent was good lol. (I felt like that should have been the priority if I'm getting something from Amazon) now next to the review! SPOILERS! - You have been warned.The book review: This book would definitely be cringy and annoying to people who don't lower their expectations to a level of a teen girl. You got to mentally make a note its' a teen book and therefore be less relatable to us adults at this time. I did enjoy this book, it was simple, things are hard and feels like end of the world when you're young and as much as we believe we understand what the other person is thinking we can't possibly. Belly in this book with rest of the people are affected with Sussanah's death and everyone deals with it differently. Let me make it very clearly Conrad was going thru ROUGH time dealing with his mom's health and going to prom was probably not something he was ready for mentally and yet he was forced to go and the fact Belly didn't understand it made me so sad. Because I understand her pov but she forgot and was totally oblivious on why he would be dull. My guy Conrad can't communicate for the life of me and Jeremiah, he is also just a kid going thru difficulties but you can clearly see this guy just wants what his big brother likes too. He doesn't see that Belly loves Conrad and it has nothing to do with him. She does love him as her friend but he keeps inserting himself between them and try to prove it to her he is the better option to choose from lol but like NOT EVERYTHING IS A COMPETITION MY GUY! Belly, clearly loves Conrad and will always love him and every single page in this book is a testament to that. and if you say anything else, you are lying to yourself.SIDE NOTE: I absolutely DO NOT like Taylor, IRL, if any of your have friends like this its hard to break those friendships but its necessary. Coz, what's the point of having a bff where you don't feel comfortable opening up and being yourself? Taylor pissed me off every second she was in this book.The show is actually pretty good than the books for majority, in terms of being able to see every character's emotions and thought process, because in the books when you read them you got to remember we see all this from belly's pov and she is not the most reliable narrator. she is obviously biased in her thinking for things and doesn't help us see things done by characters objectively but rather subjectively from belly' pov.

Bought this for my daughter as she had the first book in the series. She is very happy with it. Good quality and arrived in good shipping time. Highly recommend!

If you haven't read the first story in this, 'The Summer I Turned Pretty', trilogy, go and do so now. Then you won't need to read this review (which you shouldn't anyway until you have) to persuade you to get this book too.For her entire life, Belly has lived for the summer holidays at Cousins Beach. She adores the time spent with Steven, Jeremiah and Conrad apart from when they go off on their adventures and leave her behind because she's 'just a girl'. She'd like nothing better than to be included. Well, there's one thing she'd like better - since she was 10, she's been in love with Conrad. Conrad doesn't reveal what he thinks except, occasionally, to make a typically hurtful comment.After the traumatic events of the previous summer, those holidays have come to an end, Susannah has succumbed to cancer (leaving everybody hurting), Belly's relationship (such as it was) with Conrad has been terminated, and she is contemplating spending the summer hanging out with her best friend, Taylor. Then Conrad goes missing without warning or explanation. Jeremiah enrols her help to find him.As with the first book, this is a sometimes painful journey, but I wouldn't have missed it for anything. It's what I read books for. Now I'm eager to find out what happens in the final book of the trilogy.

I really enjoyed The Summer I Turned Pretty, the first book in this trilogy, and so when this book arrived in the post I was so annoyed that I had to save it for my holiday. It's been sitting on my bookshelf for a couple of months, staring at me and teasing me. But I was finally able to read it while I was sitting by the pool in Crete this July, and I'm so glad I waited.There are a few differences between this book and the first. The main one is that this book is told from two points of view this time - Belly's and Jeremiah's. It's pretty obvious what is going to happen from early on in the book, but I won't spoil you. You must read this for yourself!Belly, on the other hand, hasn't changed much at all. Her main concern was Conrad, as usual, and it annoyed me. SO much. She had much bigger problems than chasing after him, but I guess that's just Belly for you.Conrad was also being annoying in this book. No, actually, not annoying, just frustrating. I hate it when people can't share their feelings and instead they shut off.That said, they were all going through a lot, so I can't really blame them. I can't blame Conrad, anyway.I absolutely LOVED Jeremiah in this book. He was adorable in the first, and in this one he's stepped up and matured and... Wow. I love him. And I really enjoyed reading things from his perspective, for example when he talks about how his dad has always favoured Conrad and left him out. I felt so sorry for him, I just wanted to hug him.This book also marks the beginning of a love triangle. Gah. We'll have to see where it goes, although I'm pretty sure I know. But it's okay, because I like what happened at the end. I like it a lot.It's Not Summer Without You wasn't as good a read as the first book in the trilogy, but I think that's because it doesn't have such a summery feel to it. The first one was perfect for the beach, whereas this one could have been enjoyed just as much in the hotel room. Plus, look at the title. It's not supposed to be as summery.I really did enjoy it, though, and if you haven't picked up this trilogy yet then I highly recommend doing so. Especially if you're going on holiday this summer!

It’s was my first order and I didn’t regret

J’ai acheté ce livre pour améliorer mon anglais, et je ne regrette pas. Le style est simple, fluide, avec un vocabulaire accessible même pour un niveau intermédiaire (B1 environ). Il y a quelques mots inconnus, mais rien de bloquant — on comprend facilement grâce au contexte.L’histoire est douce, parfois triste, avec des personnages qu’on suit avec plaisir (surtout si on a déjà lu The Summer I Turned Pretty). Beaucoup de dialogues, des phrases courtes, ce qui rend la lecture vivante et moins décourageante pour un débutant.Petit conseil : lire avec un stabilo ou une appli de traduction à côté pour les mots récurrents. Franchement, une très bonne entrée en matière pour commencer à lire en VO !

O livro é perfeito, a história te prende de um jeito que você não consegue parar de ler, embora eu ache que o primeiro e o terceiro livro são melhores do que o segundo. No entanto, a capa do livro vem solta, o que eu achei estranho. A capa de verdade é dura e minimalista, o que me deixou decepcionadada, porque eu achava que ela seria igual a da foto.
