Ecover Zero Dishwasher Soap Powder, 48 Ounce (Pack 8)

I’m so glad that I decided to take the chance and buy all 8 boxes of this product. I was apprehensive at first because of the price, but the reviews overall were positive; and I am now another positive reviewer! I absolutely love this soap! It cleans very well. I have not found any powdered residue on my dishes and have been using for over a month now. Great cleaning action, plus, I feel better knowing that I am using an environmentally-friendly product. EDIT: as of August 2023, I still have boxes from my first order, and I run the dishwasher a couple of times a week at least. Still love this product and its cleaning power and plan to order more

I’ve been using Ecover Zero Dishwasher Soap Powder for a while now, and it’s perfect for my needs. If you wash a lot of dishes like I do and can’t handle scented products, this is the best deal out there. The 48-ounce size in a pack of 8 lasts a long time, which makes it super cost-effective. What I really love about this product is how safe and gentle it is. The Environmental Working Group (EWG) gives it a solid ‘B’ rating, which means it’s made with safer ingredients compared to other dishwashing detergents. It’s fragrance-free, dye-free, and chlorine-free, so I don’t have to worry about any harsh chemicals or overwhelming scents. Despite being gentle, it cleans incredibly well. Even stuck-on food and greasy pans come out spotless, and there’s no residue left behind. It’s also great knowing it’s eco-friendly, with biodegradable and phosphate-free ingredients that are better for the environment. If you’re sensitive to scents or just looking for an affordable, effective, and safe dishwasher detergent, I can’t recommend Ecover Zero enough. We usually use the Citrus Scent tablets from the same brand and thought we’d give the powder a try since it’s even more eco-friendly. However, after a few uses, I noticed that some dishes didn’t come out as clean as they did with the tablets. Also, it’s a bit of a hassle to put the powder in the dispenser. I often spill it. I think tabs are better for me after all. I wouldn’t buy this any more.

I was given a box of this dishwasher detergent to try, even though I didn't think I would go back to a powder product as I'm so used to the pods but I am so glad that I did. It cleans the dishes better than pods ever did and I never have detergent residue left over like I used to with the other top brands with bits of plastic or detergent. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with a dishwasher.

I recommend this detergent in terms of its effectiveness and have now twice purchased this 8-box package, but what bugs me is that the price of the package—consistently shipped and sold by Amazon—seems to regularly oscillate between ~$60 and a whopping ~$160. Not cool, Amazon; beware, first-time buyers.
