Ripoff!
An expensive waste of money. Ridiculous sized boxed turned up with this little thing inside. The only thing that sort of works is the extra ball holder as the balls have to be squished in to fit and so do not come out easily. However, the ball holder part is so loose balls just fall out (and yes that includes the one that came with it!. The packaging looks like the holder is metal but that is just reflection on the plastic packaging! It is rubbish. I want a refund!

good idea but poor product.
I was seduced by this because i have 2 dogs that are ball daft. This can hold 2 balls so it saves carrying 1. The idea is good but the product is really poor. It's really flimsy and broke within an hour of use. Also didn't throw the ball half as far as my old thrower but cost double the price, definately better products for the money available.

Ball does not easily release unless loaded in a certain way. Having it as a Cirvle to fit ball in not great. Get one with a claw opening.

I've purchase two of these, one through Amazon but not from this seller. This thrower does not make your forearm sore. For the amount of effort required on the part of the human, the ball goes very far. The first one eventually broke at the neck after many years of use. The neck is very flexible, which allows for good distance without a lot of stress on your forearm, but you do have to be careful to work the ball back into the cup, not just jam it back in. Jamming a new tennis ball into the cup finally broke the neck on my first one. Because the cup is a softer plastic than the Chuck-It, it does hold various sizes well. Some balls made for dogs are not the full size of a regular tennis ball and they just fall out of my longer, more rigid thrower. Because it's soft, it's also safer for children to use around other children. Hitting someone accidentally or on purpose won't result in any sort of injury. The draw back to this, other than flexibility that can break under too much stress, is the length. If you're tall, which I am, bending over to pick up the ball adds far more time to a hike or walk than I realized until I broke my first one and had to use a long one for a while. If you're just going out to throw the ball and not trying to cover a lot of ground at the same time, that's not an issue, but I usually throw the ball for my dog while hiking several miles. The size is also a plus. I attach this to my waist pack with a carabiner so I always have it on my hikes and walks. It doesn't hang down far enough to hit my legs, which gets annoying with the longer throwers. I forget it's there, but it's always available. Overall, I like this enough to buy another one when the first one broke, and to give to a friend who complained that her forearm got too sore with the Chuck-It.

I already carry many things when I go to the park/beach with my dog, I wanted a collapsible chuck it. The regular chuck it is very awkward to carry and sometimes I want to be hands free or be able to hold the leash and recall my pup at a given moment, this launcher does the job. It works just as well as the chuck it in terms of range but my only gripe is the shape of the ball grip will sometimes hold onto the tennis ball and therefore the ball will not launch. I have to loosen it a little from the hold then throw it. I love the wrist band on it and the way it condenses. it does get loose over time but still condenses for the most part. Great item!

I loved the idea of the retraction on this. I can hide it in my pocket until needed. Our pup can only focus on one thing and if he sees his ball thrower, he never wants to play with dogs, which is why we go to the park. For that, this is amazing. But I notice it is awkward to throw the ball. It launches up instead of out. The ball doesn't stay in it as well as other traditional ball throwers. It has stayed in the car more times recently because I notice my arm is sore after using it. Probably will be donating this.

This is not the sturdiest ball launcher and the piece with the wrist strap went missing shortly after we got it. But it's lightweight and perfect for throwing a tennis ball at the beach. The design makes it easy to rinse the sand off the ball in the surf or a tide pool. And you don't have to have a muscular throwing arm to launch the ball a good distance.
