I have 2 of these systems and I add a 4 way fish bubbler for adding oxygen into the water and I've grown some of the best tomatoes.

Its very simple and easy to use and if you keep one Bootle its reminder of how much you need to mix only one downside its hard to see how much water you got left true plastic but other than that plants seem to love the light

No pump. How is the water going to get aireated

Easy to set up and taller than other lights so more room for plants to grow. I have 2 of these on the go, one for mini-tomato plants, since growing under this I have not bought a tomato, the other I grow my culinary herbs/ start seedlings for planting out. I would say I get about 12 tomatoes a week, all year round, depending on variety, not a huge crop but for 2 of us more than enough. Although I love this set up I have knocked a star off for lack of spares - the 1st light I got , 2 1/2 years ago, still works well but the timer has stopped working. I have had to buy another complete set just for the timer. OK I now have spare light but if timer packs in it will not be much use. For this reason I will NOT buy any more of these lights but will search for different set up when replacement needed. I contacted the manufacturers/sellers but they were no help

I’m using this as a grow light only (no hydroponics) to start off squash and courgette plants. I may sow peppers later to harvest fruits indoor (as I’m late sowing them).. I am dubious about the lack of circulation in the hydroponics as it failed on a smaller brand). Wish I had space to fit another one in.

The adapter that was sent for this technically meets the minimum specifications to not set the device on fire on the short term. 12V 4A. It does not feature a timer as specified nor an on/off switch. The coil whine is horrendous as you can hear in the video. Other than that the manual is well documented and the build so far looks good
