This doesn't come from a huge company that's trying to fake you out. I've tried a lot of caffeinated gum out there, and this is nice. The initial texture and flavor could be tweaked, but after you get past it, the flavor is great. Tastes more like garden mint than toothpaste.Some brands have the caffeine/supplements in this outer shell that breaks and reveals a normal gum texture, which I have a personal preference for, but it doesn't matter too much. It could also use more caffeine (each piece contains 40mg), maybe in some kind of extra strength version for those who are trying to replace coffee. Maybe a cinnamon or fruit version as well.The price is fantastic for what you get. Not a waste of money in the slightest. The absorption of caffeine is faster through the lining of the mouth, so I'd suggest trying it out if you haven't already.

When my alarm goes off, I reach for this gum. It helps me get out of bed. It makes it so much easier to get up in the morning.

I dislikeThe Ingredients and the caffeine posted on the label. I have not open the package because of it. Was looking a package of clean gum!

Impressive! This came quickly and has some great personal touches. This energy gum is great for my morning fog. I get up really early for work and this is a great pick me up. At first it’s a little crumbly but if you have had run gum that’s very common. It starts to work quickly and has a long-lasting effect. It's convenient and provides a noticeable boost without the crash. It’s the perfect size to take in my purse or my husband’s gym bag. We both love this gum. Perfect for a pick-me-up during workouts or a busy day.

This gum is just okay for me. I like keeping a pack on hand in my lunch bag in case a I have an afternoon where I need a cup of tea or coffee but no time to sit and drink it.

GetSum Gum makes a bunch of really weird claims and promises, and honestly I'm not sure it really comes through on any of them.Even its primary selling point--a gum with caffeine for a quick pick-me-up--isn't fully realized because 40mg isn't very much caffeine. Heck, that's barely more than a decaf cup of coffee. Not much of a pick-me-up boast there. And not unexpectedly, the amount of boost I get from one of these pieces is basically very little to nothing at all.The only real thing I noticed was that yes, it did make my breath minty fresh.How pleasant.As for its other claims, who drinks an energy drink hoping it will "elevate your spirit towards your goals"?That's a LOT of pressure to put on an energy drink, even if Red Bull claims it'll give you wings, no one genuinely expects it to give them the power of flight. Nor do I reasonably expect that of a gum. You're off the hook, GetSum, don't push yourself so hard. No one needs you to do that.***An unexpected texture***As this is a caffeine product, I was expecting there might be some level of chalkiness to the texture, and while each piece does START that way, it does end up as a very normal, chewing gum consistency. I was cut off-guard by that, although GetSum is clearly aware their product is unique in that way and forewarns consumers the first few seconds of chewing will be different from typical gum.Basically it starts with more of an Altoid texture and appearance, but then takes on the chewing gum property as you go.***Overall Value***I wanted to be able recommend this stuff as I typically enjoy caffeine-enhanced products, but the caffeine levels here are too low per piece and $10 (at the time of review) is WAY too much for a 10-piece pack of gum with caffeine levels this low.I'd rather make a cup of coffee, even if the cup of coffee does weigh 100x more than a piece of this gum (another weird boast this gum makes in its own favor).Has anyone ever opted NOT to have a cup of coffee because of how much it weighed? Such a weird thing to brag about.

I replaced my usual cup of coffee with this gum and that has been amazing. I would say I get the boost I need without the jittery feeling or the coffee crash later in the day. I really liked how this gum got rid of my morning brain fog.I do also really like that it is sugar-free and zero calories. With the taste I think it is surprisingly minty. So I would recommend it really for anyone looking for mental clarity without the downsides of traditional energy drinks or coffee - which is pretty much what I was looking for :)

I really like the effectiveness of the energy boost and that after the chalky start (which I’ve grown to appreciate more than I first thought) the minty-ness of the gum is spot on. I pride myself on being able to grow mint;) and this tastes as close to the mint in my “garden” as I’ve found. Get Sum!P.S. I really like the name.
