RC 2 Protective Sun Hood Kit with Neck Lanyard for DJI Mini 5 Pro/Mini 4 Pro/Mavic 4 Pro/Flip/Air 3S/Air 3 Accessories

This is a great shade and device protector for the RC 2 Controller. It appears high quality as if it is a DJI product. The installation for both the shade/cover and lanyard are straight forward and it doesn not obscure any functionality on the controller. It is super convenient (and protective) to hang the controller around your neck and not have to install, or worry about, the joysticks or screen. I did also install a screen protector by Cynova (Amazon) but I suspect the one that you can bundle with this would be fine as well. Some reviewers complained that either the main cover or flip up extra shade wouldn't stay in place. I haven't found that to be the case and they supplied a special screw driver to tighten the hinges should it become necessary. Once you figure out the packing strategy, it fits well in the Mini 4 Pro bag with everything that comes in the combo package (drone, batteris, charger bank, cables, propellers, etc.). The only issue for some may be that if you want to mount the controller on a handlebar, most adapters for this want to occupy the same space on the bottom of the controller so if you want to do this, you will most likely need to remove this cover. It would be great if they built the bottom of this unit with a female threaded camera mount on the bottom. However, removing and replacing the cover is quick and easy.

The Arzroic RC 2 Protective Sun Hood Kit has truly upgraded my drone flying experience. The anti‑glare sun hood fits perfectly on my controller and allows me to see the screen clearly even in bright daylight—no more squinting or struggling with reflections. Installation was quick and tool‑free, and the hinge is firm yet smooth. The included neck lanyard feels secure and comfortable, making hands‑free use effortless. Adding the screen protector gives extra peace of mind for travel and outdoor shoots. All together this kit offers fantastic value and functionality—I highly recommend it to any serious flyer.

This is a really nice kit from my initial impressions. The protective sun hood installs easily, works great and it still fits inside the Mini 5 Pro case with the protective Sun hood and strap installed. I’m 6’4” tall and the strap had to be extended all the way out for my comfort, but it would’ve been nice if it were a few inches longer. I haven’t installed the screen protector yet, but the rest of the kit looks very nice and I’m happy with my purchase. 10/6/25 Update I bought the Lykus Titan MM510 Waterproof Hard Case for the DJI Mini 5 Pro and RC 2. The RC 2 fits inside this hard case with the Arzroic RC 2 Protective Sun Hood Kit installed. It’s a bit of a tight fit, but it works and the strap/lanyard is tucked underneath.

Fits great and comes with a tool to tighten the hinges. I am disappointed a bit that the screen protector wasn’t in the package, however.

This is a well-made hard plastic shell and lanyard that fit my RC2 controller quite well, and offers convenience (for carrying), protection and shade. The screen protector in the bundle, despite my best efforts at affixing it carefully with pressure, developed a "bubble" in the bottom left corner of the screen. Fortunately the bubble does not seem to hamper visibility, and there seem to be two other protectors in the bundle, so if it eventually comes off I can try again. The shell was thin enough that it fits within a separate hard case with contoured foam that I purchased from a different vendor.

I was looking for a lanyard for my drone when I cam across this kit (I am really not sure why DJI would not include one with any of the combo kits). This is an excellent kit for the RC2 controller with tempered glass screen protectors, a glare hood and lanyard. The hood fits well and addresses glare when outside while also protecting the screen during storage. I like that I do not have to take the controller sticks off when transporting the unit as this provides protection with the sticks in place. Be mindful that the RC2 with installed hood struggles to fit in the provided shoulder bag and may not fit in custom fit cases for the Mini 5 Pro

A bit tight from the sides but i guess that's built like that on purpose. Does the job perfectly. Accommodates the sticks very well so no need to dissemble the sticks after every use,, just keep it stay as it is. Also helps in direct sunlight for which it is actually made for.

This is an important item to get if you are using the DJI RC2 controller. That's the one with the video screen. So when you are out on a trail going over rugged terrain, you need to be able to keep your hands free for safety, but you also need to be able to get to the controller quickly. In addition, bright sunlight can obscure images on the controller screen. This product solves all of those problems, and it is very inexpensive. The benefits: 1. The strap is light weight and takes up very little room in the drone case or backpack. It's also very comfortable to wear and it is adjustable. 2. The cover provides a shade to block sunlight and make the display easier to view. 3. The cover is an important safety item because it covers the flight controls when closed, preventing spurious and unintentional commands while you are navigating your way over difficult terrain. 4. The cover allows you to be safe and keep your hands free so that you can balance yourself if you stumble or fall along the way. 5. The cover allows you to keep the screw-in joystick levers in place instead of having to remove them when you put the controller away. Disadvantages: 1. None In conclusion, I find this hood shade with lanyard to be an essential safety item for anyone who is going to be using a DJI drone with the RC2 controller in remote or difficult terrain. I am surprised that DJI doesn't have something like this as an included accessory, because without it or something similar, it's just too cumbersome. This product has made me feel safe, and far more comfortable and confident using my drone.
