Why did you pick this product vs others?:Used four of these to rig up a lift for my camper shell in my truck. Will have to take a video of it. Works really well.

Works great on the snowblower deflector chute. Mounted with the motor up so that the melting snow does not drain into the shaft opening. I use a on-off-on momentary contact switch and have had no issues. Use full thread carriage bolts with jamb nuts for the top and bottom mountings. I mounted the top bolt first and then extended the actuator to full length to mark where the lower fastener should go. Grind off the square boss under the bolt head first so the head sits flush, or file the bolt holes square.

No stars. This has stopped working 5/2825. I just installed this 2 months ago and it is already stopped working. Only ha d to work 3 minutes up, 3 minutes down per day. This is worn out in 2 months? This is crap. Do not buy. I have one on for year and it is still working. Do not buy.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This works great for raising and lowering the yard rake on the back of my tractor.

I saw a review for this as an actuator for a chicken coop door & did the same. I used 2each of a12V hobby battery, programmable timer, circuit breaker & solar panel, 1 set for opening & the other for closing the coop door. Working great so far.
