Some / Any / New is a nod to Todd Rundgren in more than just title. This album is gorgeous swoon-worthy pop hand-made by Xavier himself using a laptop, 8-track recording console, a few cherished instruments, that soaring evocative voice of his, plus a few overdubs by collaborator Stephane Laporte. Sessions for the record were fractured geographically and chronologically, following a complicated break-up and during the beginning of a new long-distance relationship.
