Four Out Of Four Cats Approve
My household is home to four cats. Finding food that all agree is great is always tricky. The Wellness CORE+ Tuna & Tilapia Pate was up to the task. I have always felt confident feeding my pets the Wellness brand of food. I like that this flavor is grain free and has no by-products. I am surprised this is labeled as Tuna & Tilapia however. The first five ingredients listed are Tuna, Chicken, Chicken Broth, Tuna Broth, & Water. Tilapia doesn't show up until the 6th item on the list. I think a more accurate name would be Tuna & Chicken. Regardless of the name, all four of my cats love it!

Good ingredients. The cats are OK with it
This, “Tuna & Tilapia Recipe” pate style Wet Cat Food from, “Wellness” arrived to me as a cardboard tray with 12 cans of the wet cat food sealed into place with plastic-wrap. Each can contains 2.8oz (79g) of cat food per can.The ingredients look good, with the top 3 ingredients being Tuna, Chicken, and Chicken Broth. Tilapia is in the ingredient list, however it is the 6th ingredient listed. Due to how chicken is the 2nd most predominant ingredient, I’m not sure why this cat food isn’t instead named, “Tuna, Chicken, and Tilapia Recipe”… The cans open easily, the cat food looks decent and as I expected it would being a pate type of wet cat food. The pate is a bit thicker than a typical pate wet cat food. I fed the food to 2 different cats. Both of the cats ate some of it but they aren’t too enthused with it as when given the choice they went for one of their preferred wet foods. Also, they don’t tend to finish this wet cat food when I put it down.Your cat may enjoy it more than my cats did. It looks to be good cat food, and the cats did eat it sometimes, however there are other wet cat foods they prefer over this. Made in Thailand.

What's most important is that the girl cats love it.
Some say that cats are finicky eaters. Not necessarily true of our bunch of cats but the female cats are easier to get started with something new. The male cats will catch up but they are the finicky ones. Our female cats love this new food. The males usually eat earlier in the day, and then nap (after they have woken us up). The females tend to eat when nobody is around, they likes some privacy while eating. We're hoping they like this treat for a while; they need to eat more wet cat food. That's what our friend the veterinarian says. So far, the female cats in our family give a thumbs up to this product. Well, they don't have thumbs but you can guess what I meant.

My cats like this better than their usual canned food
I have to say I'm rather surprised. I feed my cats wet cat food in the afternoon. The one I usually give them almost looks like human food. They have historically enjoyed it. However, when I started giving him this fish flavored pate, they stopped eating the former cat food. I don't know if it's the flavor, the texture, or both, but they seem to really like this. It's not visually spreading. It is pate, after all. But my kiddos seem to really like the stuff, so that's a win in my book. It's also from a well known brand that specializes in producing healthy food, so that makes me feel even better about it. Maybe that's why they like it so much.

Great quality ingredients!
Both of my cats really like this food. This food has a really nice ingredient profile: grain free, by-product free and well balanced. Both of my cats are seniors: a 15-year-old male and 17-year-old female, and both have some age-related health issues, namely chronic renal insufficiency and arthritis. I tend to be very picky about the foods they eat and their quality due to their health issues and this line of food really fits all of my criteria. Best of all they both absolutely love tuna-based foods and find this flavor to be extremely palatable. Renal insufficiency can cause issues with nausea and vomiting as well as loss of appetite, I am always on the lookout for quality foods that both cats enjoy, especially ones that do not cause any vomiting or nausea. This food seems to fill all of those qualifications. I highly recommend it!

Unfortunately cats won't touch it
It may just be my cats, but they all say no. I think the texture is not to their liking. It needs to be softer and more mousse-like.

If cats could write…
If cats could write… well, then they would rule the world, right? (As if they don’t already)We’re one week in on this experiment with our fuzzy little girl. Half a tin each lunchtime to give some variety to her otherwise boring diet. And so far, so good. Gobbles it right up.I like that this is grain free and the ingredients appear ok, albeit coming from a long way away. Finally though, how am I supposed to “rate the flavor”? If cats could write…. uh-oh we’re back to that argument. Hee-hee.

Definitely quite meaty
My cats generally aren't a big fan of canned cat food, generally preferring hard food, but they do like a can now and then to nibble on. They tend to turn their noses up at cheaper brands of cat food, but these cans have been greeted with approval. When you open them you can tell that they're much more meaty than cheap brands that add grain for filler material. I would say that these are definitely a good quality of cat food, though given the price one would hope so.
