NLT Inspire Praise Bible

This is the most beautiful bible I have ever seen!!! When I saw the closed page edges had colorful purple butterflies printed on them I was sunk, and the cover is purple--my favorite color! The NLT Inspire Bible and the NLT Praise bible are the same translation but the first bible, the Inspire one, is teal colored and sometimes comes with leaves outlined in teal (and green, I think) printed on the closed page edges. I thought it was very nice but I grew up with the earlier version of the Living Testament bible and never felt I needed to have a copy of the updated New Living Testament (which is considered an actual translation rather than a paraphrase as the older version was). Then I saw this purple one and you know what happened next... I am a recent fan of Bible Journaling, where artwork, journal cards, and all kinds of ephemera is added to a bible to increase the fun of bible study. Sometimes journaling can make the scripture difficult to see so I don't use my good bible-study bible for this, but there are so many bibles designed to help those like me who are art challenged, and this is one of the best. The margins have printed scripture centered artwork that can be colored with colored pencil or other media. It really helps me to memorize verses when I spend this much time with them. There are also absolutely beautiful colored vellum artwork pages inserted throughout the bible too. These have large open areas so the reader can add their own artwork, write their thoughts, or copy scripture to make it personal. The printed artwork is different in the NLT Praise Bible from that in the Inspire NLT Bible so they are not copies except for the actual text of scripture. I showed this bible to my middle school grand daughter who is really into art and she wants one for Christmas. I would recommend this bible for anyone who loves God's word, art, coloring with colored pencils, interested in Bible Journaling, may be a little art challenged, or has problems with coming up with ideas for Bible Journaling. It would make a great gift to someone new to the Bible since the artwork looks great in black and white as well, and the translation is one of the easiest to understand for new Christians.

Beautiful Bible! Can't wait to make it "mine" with art! I love to illustrate Bible verses in my journal, and when I saw this, I was thrilled! It has 2 awesome features - beautiful illustrations of Bible verses and pages to color; and lots of room for notes in the margins. If you used it extensively, it could be a beautiful hand-me-down to a child or grandchild, who could read it after you.

I’m in love with this Bible! My daughter received one in the light teal as a Christmas gift from a friend and I loved it so much I looked for myself. I love reading the Bible anyway but this just makes me just want to sit and dig in. So fun and beautiful.

This Bible is gorgeous and great for journaling. I bought three for my daughters and I. At ages 9 and 7, we cannot put it down. They spend time in it each day to both read and color. We also use it for our mother/daughter devotional time each morning. The pages are great for use with colored pencils. Gel pens can be used on the inside and back cover art and for accents here and there. They do bleed through the page some (so I don’t suggest gel pens for an entire page). There is plenty of room for journaling your thoughts on the pages as you read God’s word. Other items used we for our journaling on this Bible are stickers, labels, washi tape, and stencils. The vellum pages are AMAZING! They are perfect for journaling or even additional personal artwork. The cover is strong but as with other Bibles, I recommend a Bible cover. The Bella Taylor covers I bought at Books-a-Million were a good fit and have extra room for pens, extras such as sticky notes and even their notebook. We also added tabs for the books of the Bible and the pages are holding up well. The artwork is beautiful. The extra pocket is helpful and the stickers are a fun edition mostly for my girls. One big suggestion for future editions is to make sure all artwork is big enough and letters thick enough for coloring. Some artwork has lines so thin that it makes it difficult for coloring. The best artwork/illustrations are the ones whose images pertain to the verse and are large. Some artwork could be changed out in future editions for this reason. This is small constructive criticism in light of the GREAT labor of love I’m sure this edition was! We all truly LOVE IT! We love to see God’s word become visually alive through these illustrations. ♥️ This makes an EXCELLENT gift. I bought the hard cover edition with the purple cover.

Love the look and all the coloring that can be done in this bible. I wish the pages were a bit thicker because it is a coloring bible and pens, and markers, even coloring pencils tend to bleed through. The binding is beautiful and I love how colorful it already is and I can just add to it. Definitely worth the price. And a bonus is that it IS a filament abled app bible so you can get more information from each page!

Beautiful Bible. Bought as a gift for my teenage daughter who’s autistic and loves to colour during church sermons. Cannot recommend enough, worth every penny spent.

I wanted a new bible and this one is great.

A bíblia é lindíssima, exatamente como nas imagens. Possui a capa dura e diversos inserts, páginas de papel vegetal com excelente impressão. O papel das páginas é um pouco mais grossinho(gramatura maior que o normal), mas ainda é bem acetinado. Testei vários materiais e apenas as canetas permanentes vazaram, caneta esferográfica, ponta fina, marca texto e giz não passaram para a outra página. Uma dica que deixo é olhar em qual vendedor tem o melhor preço, não ir no primeiro que aparece pois pode ser mais barato mas em geral cobra frete alto. Chegou em 15 dias, menos da metade do tempo previsto.

I love the NLT translation. The pages are thicker than in other Bibles. I love it !

I thanked God i own my very loved Bible. It was filled with beauty. Worth the wait and value for the price. ♥️
