Lavazza Blue Gran Espresso Cups x2

Probably my favorite lavazza espresso especially in the double shot. It's got the classic strong and well rounded espresso roast. Not too smoky or bitter.

Love the flavor of these, always rich and creamy, so delicious, a bit pricey, however the quality is superb.

If you like dark Italian espresso this a good choice. Lavazza makes several dark espresso blends for it's BLUE/Expert coffee system, Gran Espresso, Rotondo, Rico, Expert "Intenso", and my favorite "Vigoroso". Unfortunately, we can't get Vigoroso in the US. That said, these are very good and pretty close. They have all the notes of what you would expect in a Lavazza dark roast, and are very aromatic. The Gran Espresso are bold and would likely be great for milk-based drinks (guessing, I drink my espresso black). Also, you can't beat the price compared to other capsule systems. They're a steal when on sale. These are "2" capsules which means they are considered a "double" and packed with more coffee than the standard single capsules. Because they're stronger they are good as a lungo, but I own a LB2317 commercial BLUE machine and I have run into an issue. Because my LB2317 is volumetric I always get the same amount of espresso, but these capsules (or this particular box I received) make my machine work a lot harder. It takes twice as long to pull a shot and the machine struggles noisily as if the coffee is packed too tight. It's pretty obvious. It could also just be that my machine is getting old, who knows? I've had these before and it wasn't a problem so it may be a one off. Five stars just based on the taste.

These are actually really good, great taste and lets face it Lavazza is way better then other espresso brands :)

These are the best of all the great Lavazza espresso pods. When it comes to espresso, Lavazza is always the best. That other espresso pod company should stick to making grocery store chocolate.
