Dense Cotton Ektorp Chair Cover Replacement, Compatible for IKEA Ektorp Armchair Cover, Heavy Cotton Gray

What a good deal this was! The slipcover fits my Ektorp arm chair perfectly. It was easy to put on and looks great. A plus for me is that the seat of the body (the part under the seat cushion) is real fabric, not the flimsy interfacing type stuff IKEA uses. I’m a little confused by the washing instructions- the tag says “Dry clean or spin dry”. Do they mean dry clean or wash and hang to dry?

Excellent dupes for the Ektorp Chair covers from Ikea. There is literally no difference. The quality is amazing! We bought them as a back up for our chairs, so that when washing one set we can put another on. The quality, fit, and look is exactly the same as our IKEA covers. Would definitely recommend. Unfortunately IKEA decided to discontinue their Ektorp line 2 weeks after we purchased our chairs and covers so we were so thankful to find such great replacement covers.

I bought this faux leather cover for my old Ektorp chair. I wanted something to contrast with my Uppland chair, which has the dark grey cover. This is a great value and a high-quality cover. I would rather it fit a little looser than too tightly. It went on really easily, and I'm very pleased with the look of it. I deducted 1 star because the color appears a more milk-chocolate brown in the photo, and mine is more of a dark chocolate brown. The lighter color that I was anticipating would have matched better with my color scheme, but this is still a great deal. I would have loved a more tan-colored faux leather in case you want any suggestions. I can not speak to washability yet. (Is it washable?) It is wrinkled. I hope the wrinkles will fall out over time.

When I was looking to buy these covers, there wasn’t a review for this color so I bought on a whim. We had gray covers before that I had to constantly wash because of dog hair. Now that I have these, it’ll be a quick wipe down. They seem a bit big but figure they just need to be broken in. I really like them a lot and hoping they last a long time.

After removing my old cover, I started with the cushions. They did fit very well and the material feels durable. However, when I went to put the last part on the body, it did not fit. I worked on it for quite a while. Somewhere near the back, on the sides, its just not wide enough for my IKEA ektorp armchair. If it was just the arms, then it fit in the front, however pulling it over the back did not work. Then I tried from the back first and realized, it was not my having a hard time, it was the wrong size!! I really don't want to go through the trouble of returning this all, but I have to, especially taking off the cushion covers again as this whole process has been quite frustrating.

I picked up the matching cover for the Ektorp couch almost two years ago. I have had the chair and ottoman cover sitting in my "saved for later" shopping cart waiting for them to come back into stock. I jumped on the order as soon as they became available (yes, I hung in there for two years). We figured the furniture in our basement family room is still good for several more years now that we have these covers. They fit perfectly and look great. And now all of the furniture matches!

Exactly what I was hoping for! It was touch and go there for a minute trying to put chair cover over the arms and backrest, but after a little elbow grease it fits perfect. Honestly no harder to put on then the original ikea cover so no worries. All in all I love it! I have a brand new chair again, I'm very pleased.

Editing my original review. The cover has definitely shrunk and now the seams have ripped. Have only washed in cold water and hung dry so not sure why it is shrinking. I have washed it several times as I have dogs. Maybe if you don’t need to wash it that often it will hold up better. Original review: So far so good! Seems durable, washes well. Slightly different fabric weight than the other ikea slip covers I was trying to match but no one else will notice.
