Good jackfruit
Very nice, and a larger than expected tin.

There’s plenty in each tin!
An earlier complaint we that there isn’t a lot of jackfruit in each tin, but there is actually more in each tin than in your average supermarket tin These are extra large 565gram tins with 50% ie 280 grams fruit. Supermarket tins are 440 grams with 60% ie 260 grams. So if fact you are ever so slightly better off with this stuff. And don’t worry if they arrive bashed. That’s only a problem if the tins are made of iron they can rust, but tins haven’t been made like that for over 50 years (they’re now made either from steal or aluminium) so a bashed tin is perfectly safe to eat from. BTW, the jackfruit in these tins is pretty good. It’s not cooked, so you need to sauté it for about 10-20 minutes before it will shred to give you that “pulled pork” look, and as it’s a vegetable it’ll need flavouring, but we think it’s great for fajitas and burgers. Enjoy!

Great for vegan cooking and good for you too
Lovely jackfruit, I've started experimenting with this and made some lovely jackfruit enchiladas very tasty indeed. You can use the core part as well just give it a bit of extra cook time as it's slightly firmer than the bit you shred

This jackfruit is good, mild flavour, and works well in my recipes.

Pleased to have tried it but not for me
I'd never tried jackfruit before and being an ex-meat eater and having loved pulled pork, thought it was worth a try. These tins I think are good value. I followed a recipe involving first cooking it on the hob with loads of spices & flavourings, pulled it all apart, then baked it for 1 1/2 hours with home-made barbecue sauce to finish. The result was reasonably pleasant but it was still nothing more than a highly flavoured vegetable and not the pulled-pork wow texture and taste that I was hoping for. It's probably my cooking but I personally won't be buying it again. I'm sure it's not a problem with the product itself. Glad I've given it a go though!
