Review: Conecrned that future programmes may not be released on DVD - I received series 6 in the post from desertcart today. My understanding is that the BBC shop is no longer selling DVD’s, Blu-Rays or books anymore. Everything on their site is now digital. Slightly concerned if other Michael Portillo programmes are all going to be released on the DVD format in the future? Good news is that Series 7 and the Great American Railways Journeys series 1 are due to be released on DVD in August (see Networkonair.com). Also wondering if there is going to be a series 8 as series 7 is being released much earlier than previous series. Still no sign of Great Continental Journey series 4 being released on DVD, but you can download it from the BBC. I’m old school and still like to have my media on DVD or Blu-ray. I have all this series and Great Continetial Railways on DVD in my collection. I really don’t want to have to be connected to the Internet to watch any programmes I own.
