Fantastic, I cought a big raccoon in a matter of hours, as you can see in the picture , I put some cat food as bait in the trap, that raccoon can't escape in this trap. He is caged like a prisoner , This raccoon won't be causing any more damage around the house, and attacking my cats for its food, I'll take it to the woods miles away , so it will never come back. Nothing else wood work

Thanks to this effective cage trap, an abandoned sweet & anxious Shih Tzu is rescued and saved in Western Puerto Rico. She was left to roam roads alone. I trapped and adopted her after she was on the roads alone for almost one and a half months. A few people tried to catch her by running after her. A few fed her. One month into her abandonment i saw her and decided to take effective action. This trap was part of my plan. Sadly, and currently, most towns in Puerto Rico do not have official animal control services, even though by law this is required and a majority of citizens definitely want excellent and progressive animal control service. I know of this because I already have 600 signatures on a petition for this in only 11 days. There is currently and basically no one here to call to help animals. This will change. There are currently no cage traps like this easily available here, if at all. Astonishingly, none of the pet stores have them. The street, stray, abandoned and abused animals are out of control. Unfixed animals are left to non-stop breed. Horses and dogs are left in the sun on chains or ropes, with no water or food. Vodoo animal abuse is happening. More and more feral cats are killingbirds so there is no more birds. Roaming packs of dogs are killing pets and cows. These scenes and events are distressing and naturally makes most everyone witnessing this angry. Animal rescue groups and private individuals who rescue are overwhelmed and tired. I had to privately buy this trap because the police and animal rescue groups, nor a rental business, did not have any available traps. Please, if of Puerto Rico, demand the mayors to indefinitely fund excellent animal control, and education. And thanks to this trap, my family now has welcomed a great dog. Gracias to all who love and care for justice and protection for all abused animals.

The only issue was keeping the door from opening once set so I made a latch from the supplied wrench and used a rubber band to keep the tension on it. Might use a spring for a more permanent latch but the rubber band works for now.

Easy to put together and works for what I needed

I couldn't figure out how to set up the thing....no videos or anything... comes with a lot of nuts and bolts.....augh...last one i bought came almost fully set up! This sucks

good trap just don't like that the trip mechanism for the door swings out,.. can't brush in too much

Good quality strong cage. We have it set up to catch foxes, which we haven't managed to do yet, but I'm confident it would easily hold the predator if caught. In the meantime it's also been used for time outs for our rooster, and is very effective. Would definitely purchase again.
