Small amount only needed goes on smoothly

Found this to be extremely drying to my skin. The next day any skincare I used, the tan would pill off. Definitely not for me. Plus the bottle arrived, it had obviously been used a few times before.

I haven't used fake tan for quite some years. Every few years, I'm lured back into trying it once more, on the premise the technology must have moved on from the smelly, streaky results of yesteryear. So it was that I came to try this. I hadn't heard of Lancaster, but the bottle reveals the parent company is Coty, which I've certainly heard of and used, so that was some reassurance. I was nervous of trying it on my face in case I came out carrot-coloured and couldn't get rid of it for a week, so I tested on my forearm first. The good news is that, when a couple of drops are mixed with moisturiser as instructed, it does produce quite a subtle, streak-free glow, which is not a radical departure from how you look normally, so won't be met with shock that you turned orange overnight. The positives: ● Subtle, buildable glow that isn't overtly fake. ● You only need a few drops at once (four max), so the bottle will last a long time. The negatives: ● I don't really like having to mix it up in my hand first. Tip: put the drops into your palm first so you won't have to handle the bottle with moisturiser all over your hands. ● I think it's wasteful of my existing moisturiser, as I feel I end up using more for the pre-mixing than I do when I moisturise in the normal way. ● It still has that familiar, biscuity, fake-tan smell that I catch whiffs of hours later. ● On me, I certainly wouldn't say it develops in an hour OR could last a week (unless I quit washing my face). If I do it at night, it will have developed by next morning, but not in an hour. To maintain it, I need to do it every day, or at least most days, not once a week. ● Can collect in wrinkles to produce a darker effect, particularly on my neck - I have to be really careful with the blending here to avoid accentuating them. ● Super-expensive. Conclusions: As fake tans go, I think it's more subtle and successful than most. BUT, it's very expensive, and more faff than just using a tinted moisturiser or my usual CC cream. I'll use up what I've got, but wouldn't pay £35.99 to get it again.

Super! Ich mische 2 Tropfen in meine Tagescreme. Das mach ich ca. 2x die Woche und sehe aus wie frisch aus dem Urlaub. Macht keine Flecken und hat eine super tollen Farbton, nicht künstlich! Manchmal tu ich es auch auf meine Hände dass die nicht so hell sind...
