Best White Pens i’ve owned
I don’t know why I’ve been using white acrylic markers for highlights and all that. These gel pens are white on the first round unlike the acrylic markers where you have to go over multiple times. i like the ink flow. very great quality, not grip and stuff. I don’t usually write hyped up reviews but honestly, i was so impressed and happy with these pens. Will update if anything changes lol

Great gel pen for opaque and consistent white detailing and lettering!
This review is made in comparison to the Sakura White Gelly Roll, which is what I’ve been using exclusively up until now. PROS: • Even and consistent ink flow. • Very opaque. • Rubber grip and thicker barrel makes it much more comfortable and ergonomic. • Can go over lines and do multiple layers to make sections thicker. CONS: • Pen tip is much larger (1.0 mm) compared to what most people are used to on a Gelly Roll • Distributes a lot of ink (takes some getting used to). • Slightly longer drying time. I was skeptical of the Signo making that much of a difference compared to the Gelly Roll but it surprised me. With both pens, I always do a little “warm-up” scribble before I go into an art piece — but with the Signo, I can rely on the ink flow to stay consistent and even until I’m done with it. If not, I can easily go back to areas that need touching up without ruining the ink I already laid down. With the Gelly Roll it would skip frequently and when I went over another area again, it would always scratch the ink already in the process of drying — this often turned a small touch up into a larger problem. The Signo is also a lot more comfortable. Often times, my hand would cramp up with a Gelly Roll because of its skinny barrel. Especially since I would have to spend more time with it going over areas to make the lines more opaque or filling in areas the ink skipped. With a Signo, I usually only have to make one pass. Yes, the Signo produces a much bolder line than a Gelly Roll — because of that it does release a lot of ink and needs a little longer drying time. It’ll also take a bit to get used to and familiar with so you can control it and know what to expect when you detail/write. Overall the Signo is a great alternative to the Gelly Roll. It’s now my go-to pen, although I still plan to always keep at least one Gelly Roll pen nearby for times I need to do very small details.

Absolutely my favorite white gel pen to use in paper crafting and ...then read update at end of review :/
Absolutely my favorite white gel pen to use in paper crafting and art work. It flows smoothly, evenly, doesn't get plugged up, doesn't blotch up. So I buy 3 at a time now. Signno, I love you! I don't even have to store them point down or horizontally, although it could help. These just work and rock!!!! ***Update. These pens work WONDERFULLY the first time you use them. If you let any lengthy time go by (more than a week) before using them again, they will usually clog up. So the rating drops from 5 stars to about 1 star after the first use. I've bought so many of these over the last few years. I get so happy with each new pen, but subsequently I get very frustrated with this (and other white pens). What is it about white inks? Why do they clog up so fast? OK. So here are the methods I have tried to get the ink flowing because #1 I need white ink and #2 these are expensive to use just once or twice, then never again. If you Google this pen, most people will tell you the same thing: nothing better, until you wait to use them again. There is a ton of ink left, we just can't get it out. I have had perhaps 2 dozen of these in the last few years because nothing is as bright and opaque as these (so far that I've tried). Because I desperately want to continue using the ones I have, these are the methods I have used on most of the pens after they got "clogged up." Using thick paper or card, chipboard; taking the silver tip off the pen, then holding the writing tip barely into hot water over and over; suction to the opposite end, blowing air into the opposite end with force, suction to the tip itself; holding a match under the tip (hey, it works for most clogged pens); keeping them stored with tips down; rolling it upside down after the first use, and storing upside down/ same process and storing tip side down; gently rolling the tip over a sand paper; cleaning tip with alcohol; and drinking Bailey's Irish Cream. Nothing worked.

Good option
So much better then the other pens that I was using, the consistency and liquid is great. Skips sometimes but still great

Best In Class White Ink Pen
Very opaque, but the flow isn't completely consistent. On Fabriano Black Black it covers in one pass better than most gel pens I've tried, but after several minutes of continuous drawing I had to clean the tip to restore the line. Excellent for highlights; less ideal for long uninterrupted line work. Best guidance for successful use: Recap the pen every time- dont leave unused and uncapped for more than a couple of minutes. Also- use lighter pressure when writing/drawing to keep the roller ball from forming tracks in the gel ink when applying. Unfortunately, I havent found a good workaround or best practice for goopy gel ink nibs/rollerballs other than wipe them frequently. All in all, so far, this brand and model of white ink pen is the best I have found so far! (I am on a mission!)

Excellent white ink pens for art
These are excellent white ink pens, and I use them often in my pen and ink art. They surprised me at how well they work, especially considering some of the negative reviews talk about how their ink isn't consistent, is too thin, or dries up. I've had my pens for several months now, and they haven't dried out or clogged up (though I could see how they could clog up if you don't cap them or don't do anything for the little ball tip when ink starts to build up, but that's not different from other technical pens I use). I was quite surprised when using this pen at first to describe snow falling on top of a dead, crumpled flower in a quick single panel comic I did—over india ink, it works extremely well. One might need to use another layer if one needs a thicker white, but other than that, I was very pleased. The work with the moon and the flower was a more thorough test of what could be done with the pen. Again, over an india ink background. The moon took two passes but the ability to build up texture was excellent in giving the moon a cratery grain. It was easy enough to write as well, and the finer white lines on the branch was done via going over the white lines in black again to partially obscure them. Pretty excellent. The rather intensely colored work did show off a bit of their weakness with regards to covering up color—I didn't want a completely opaque series of dots to represent the sparse cherry blossom, but they did require a second pass to get the right level of opacity. A third or fourth dot would have purely white, I think. All in all, I greatly enjoy these pens, and have incorporated them into my regular art workflow.

Better than other white gel pens 🖊️
Love these! I think they’re better than gelly roll’s white gel pens tbh. The color is opaque and the ink flow glides easily. I will buy these over and over again for small details in my coloring books.

Usabilidad.

never buying another white posca again after these!
i’m an artist and i love this pen. me and my creative friends constantly complain about posca pens, because they dry out way too fast and you can’t get the paint to come out of the nib, essentially making them useless after a few months. poscas also tend to flood all over the place. i didn’t know of any good alternatives because posca has always been the go-to, until i saw someone recommend uniball sigma broad so decided to try these out. i’m so glad i did! these pens are EXCELLENT for highlighting, accents, and white text. importantly, these pens can be LAYERED. to compare, trying to add an extra layer of posca pen on paper usually ends up tearing the paper, or you scrape away the layer you’ve already done. that doesn’t happen with the uniball! what i also love about the uniball pens is that by layering the ink to get a more opaque finish, it almost provides a sort of vinyl effect, and it adds some really cool texture! so you can either stick to one layer, or do multiple (see my pics) i tend to keep a tissue on hand to wipe the tip to keep it clear, and a blank sticky note so i can get the ink flowing again if i put it down for a few minutes. these pens are very smooth to write with, and ink flow is good. it’s easy to get the ink flowing again, even if the tip dries, and the pens do not dry out when not used for a period of time which is essential! these pens have no problem writing over the top of black ink too, they don’t bleed or anything. they perform well over pencil, as well as black, brown and white paper. i no longer have to worry about damaging the paper/my drawings when using these! the only downside i can note is that these pens are not immune to transfer if you’re drawing in a notebook, and your design might leave an imprint on the opposite page. this can be easily fixed by slotting in an extra bit of paper between pages, so just something to be aware of - again, see pics! safe to say, i’ll be repurchasing these pens for years to come! they’re an absolute staple.
