Veridian 60-Second Digital Thermometer with Fever Alert

A quality thermometer that shows body temperature in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. Works correctly. I bought 3 thermometers as a spare.

While some people may not like having to wait a full 60 seconds on your temperature, it actually ensures greater accuracy. After trying a few fancier thermometers that I hated, I've been using this one for my cycle charts, and it gives me clean, clear, easy-to-read charts. All the fancy BBT therms gave me horribly rocky charts, PLUS they would all beep after a few seconds yet the directions would tell me to keep it in my mouth for up to 5 minutes. This thermometer, I can wait for the beep, chart the temperature that comes up with the beep, and get a clear-looking chart free from abnormal spikes and troughs.

This is a very nice thermometer, easy to read and easy to use. It is a great value and I am very pleased with my purchase.if opportunity arose I would purchase this the mom at her again. I received this purchase at a discounted price for my honest and I'm biased opinion

I am a school nurse and I needed an inexpensive back up thermometer. It works but takes about a minute for the reading which may seem fast but it isnt. For the price it is worth the purchase and overall works fine.

Really inexpensive but accurate fever thermometer. Works faster than the old mercury "shake-down" units, and it turns on & off instantly. Comes with several "condom-like" probe covers, so you can use it for oral or rectal use - or get 2 separate ones. Hint: The oral tastes better than the rectal probe

Not at all accurate. I got the flu and did not have a thermometer so I ordered this one. After receiving it I took my temperature at it came up 97.3. Having the flu and knowing I had a fever I used an old mercury thermometer at my grandmothers house. It read about 102 then I used this one at it read 97.6. Now that I no longer have the flu I have tried it several times and it reads between 96.8 and 97.6. Yes I read the instruction book and I tried several different way stated therein but always the same range. I have a multimeter with a temperature probe so I said what the heck I'll clean off the probe and stick it in my mouth and sure enough it gave the same reading as the mercury thermometer, but then again it cost it the $125 range where this cost about $6. I'll get a better one in the $20 range as I don't want to use my multimeter to check my temperature when I'm sick :)

It works really well. It beeps when it's done reading the temperature and depending on the temperature will indicate whether or not there is a fever. It does come with covers but since this will be used primarily on myself, I will save them for in case I use it with someone else.

While it does display the last temperature taken when you turn it on, it's a super short length of time, so you have to pay close attention. Also, when it's done reading your temp, it keeps beeping until you turn it off (could be 30 sec?). Annoying, as I think just a couple beeps would be plenty effective in letting you know it's done. But all in all, it works, and it was only $4, so you really can't complain.
