The box says for "large lawns" Would I have to set everything to the min distance and lose the benefit of adjustability?** A: I guess it depends on how small your yard is. I've got a large yard, but am using this sprinkler to water only a 25x50 foot rectangular seedbed. With the sprinkler in the middle of this area, I've got it adjusted so the spray distance varies from about 13 to 25 feet. I think it could service an even smaller area if I turned down the water flow.If your yard is smaller, and is not very irregular in shape, you might want to use a small oscillating sprinkler. Keep in mind that impulse sprayers, like this Gilmour, are designed to shoot water fairly long distances because they aim in one direction at a time. The oscillating sprinklers provide more even coverage for smaller areas. **Q: Mine is shooting as much water out of the backside as it is on the lawn. Why is a strong stream of water coming off the back?** A: One time it was because the hose fitting was not perfectly round; it had been stepped on. Hammering a metal cone (from a flagpole) into the fitting restored the fitting's shape. Another time it was because the plastic channel in the sprinkler split; I had let water freeze in it. **Q: Are additional pattern rings available separately? I'd like to save separate patterns for different areas of the yard.** A: The ring has 12 spots around the adjustment ring which can be moved up (to spray further and slower) and lower (to spray shorter and faster) as the sprinkler head cycles. Yes you have to fiddle around with it to get to know your best setting but once you have mastered this, it is so easy to use and set.for back garden is an irregular shape and i only need it to turn 3 quarters, sprays the area but does not reach it's specified length, this is down to mains water pressure - but i can live with that.From garden covers whole area...!This save so much time, no need to keep moving sprinkler, you do get some pooling of water at the bottom but not a great deal ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best sprinkler I've used even with lower water pressure *by A***R on Reviewed in Canada on 18 July 2024* I bought my first one last summer and this year bought two more.
