Helmet Lock Meets My Needs
The lock and keys are decent quality and they work well. Install is easy with a little patience. Overall, considering the price and suitability for my needs, I give these helmet locks 5 stars. I do recommend them if your needs and bike setup are similar to mine. More Detail: These helmet locks fit the 7/8” crash bar on the rear of my bike that go around the side boxes. I had to use the rubber insert to get the right fit, otherwise too loose. These are not the most secure locks but they will suffice to stop someone from just grabbing the helmet, which is why I purchased and installed one on my bike. Now, if someone really wants the helmet, they can just cut and replace the strap, or bust apart the helmet lock with a hammer and chisel/punch, or just work away at removing the visible hex head screw. Although my helmet is an expensive Shoei RJ Platinum, I just don’t see that happening. My bike is a 2018 BMW R1200RT. It has a police package with mostly 7/8” crash bars all around. The ideal place on this bike to install the helmet lock, as seen in the pics, is on the top crash bar just in front of the right side case. It is a little bit of a hassle to install the helmet lock. Nothing that anyone can’t overcome with a little patience. There are only two screws, one blind mount and the other visible behind the lock catch. It would be easier if the adhesive on the rubber insert was of better quality and it would stay in place while installing the lock. I put a little bit of anti-seize lubricate on the screw tips since they are threading into aluminum and I don’t want them to corroded and seize. I did not purchase this helmet lock to carry an extra helmet on the bike. If that was my need I would have purchased a heavier duty more suitable device especially for that purpose. This helmet lock works very well to reasonably secure my helmet from casual theft while I am at the store or otherwise away from the bike.

Allows Creativity
I did not mount this around a bar as intended. My adventure motorcycle already has a helmet lock but it’s inconveniently mounted under the seat. I used this locking latch by taking off the loop and running a bolt through the underside of my luggage rack. This works absolutely perfectly and makes hanging my lid off of the back of the bike super quick and easy. Excellent value and function. The build quality seems solid but if it doesn’t hold up then I’ll update my review.

Solid Enough for the Price
I like these Helmet Locks. The build quality is not quite as sturdy as the ones from Acouto, but at half the price what do you expect... Security is comparable to most helmet locks. A determined thief will get through anything, however pretty much all helmet locks are designed to deter the casual opportunist. These allow me to park my bike, easily lock up my helmet, and relax in a diner without worrying. If you are more concerned than that, you should probably just take your helmet in with you. Replacement keys can be a little tricky to find, but most full-service locksmiths will have them. Silca KYM1RP is the best key blank I have found. It is a key made for a Kymco Scooter. I bought the keyed-alike version and the two locks came with four keys.

Meets my expectations
I attached this to my Honda Navi, on the rear grab bar. I may move the lock to the handle bar later, but having it on the rear grab bar allows me to rest my helmet on the seat, instead of having it hang. The lock was easy to install, seems well built, and is much easier and quicker to use than my Navi's built-in helmet lock. I don't like using the Navi's built-in helmet lock because it's a pain to use, and takes much longer to lock/unlock my helmet (I have to take my key out of the ignition, then use the key to unlock a different lock for the seat, then take the seat off, then set the seat down properly somewhere so it won't fall, then attach the helmet strap to the "hook" which is not quick nor easy, and put the seat back on; putting the seat back on is a pain). While it seems to be well built, I'm sure it can easily be defeated by a determined thief. But I purchased it knowing that. I definitely would not use the lock for a very expensive helmet. I only plan on using the helmet lock if I'm away from the Navi for a short time. I mostly use the Navi for running errands, so I use the helmet lock for most trips. If I'm away for longer periods, I use the Navi's built-in helmet lock, or take the helmet with me.

Does the job
So far it's worked great. Easy install. It fits my Triumph nicely. Who knows about the longevity though. But so far, I have to give it 5 stars.

Sometimes May Take a Little Extra to Work
The usefulness meets expectations, but the design is flawed. After removing the visible hex head screw you will find that the top portion removed, and inside is the screw for the bottom portion that it used to lock the unit onto the handlebars. Depending on how thick the handlebars are, and the amount of filler padding you'll need to secure it, the hole for the tightening screw may no longer align with its own holes. It may take some workaround to properly attach the unit.

Works Great!
I put one on my wife's KLX 230 and the other on my KLR 650. Easy to install and they look to be good quality.

Perfect solution for Grom AND Ruckus!
I installed this helmet lock on both of my mini bikes. They install easily on the handlebars and don’t get in the way of my controls. The key turning action is solid and the lock feels much more robust than it looks online. These were cheap and they work great! I wish I had got them sooner instead of carrying my helmet everywhere.

Works great, it is light and built out of metal i believe, easy installation and very secure lock. I used it today in the park, locked my helmet and left for hours, came back to see my helmet untouched thankfully. (High crime area)

Avec les casques d'aujourd'hui cela ne sert à rien...

Sono sicuramente economici, ma sono davvero comodi per mantenere i caschi abbastanza in sicurezza.

Works perfectly and very handy to lock helmet onto bike.

Made well, it should protect your helmet or bag from opportunistic theft, but it's unlikely to stop a determined thief. That said, being able to leave my helmet with the bike while I grab a coffee is peace of mind.
