Review: Perfect - Bought to replace a Karcher controller that broke. This has been in use now for two seasons, left outside from early spring through to late autumn and then brought in during the winter. It’s been faultless, easy to setup, doesn’t leak and works like a charm. The only bug bear is battery life is quite poor, although this could be batteries but they were long life lithium so should have lasted ages. When the battery is changed, al settings and timings are lost, so this is annoying. Can program upto twice per day, 7 days a week (you pick the days) you can also setup delay intervals, I.e only water every other day, only on weekends etc. Goes great with my micro sprinkler irrigation system. Been so impressed by the gardena range I’ve been replacing components with their equivalent products. Avoid any Hoselock or Karcher watering systems. Just bought the latest version of this todo the front garden!

I did not want the noise of running water at dawn. I have been using it for 4 weeks and it works well and seems superior quality.

**Q: Has anyone experienced a significant water pressure drop using the gardena mastercontrol timer? cant operate sprinklers, works fine when timer bypass**
A: Sorry - I am unable to comment.  I always run the timed circuits in the very early hours  - starting at 5 a.m. - which is before anyone in this household is conscious enough to want to run any other water flow!  I don't attempt to run sprinklers through it.  PS My timer is an older model than the one illustrated.

**Q: What sort of thread does the equipment use?**
A: My model is older than this one so I may not be of much help.  Mine has completely standard threads - I don't think it should be a concern.  If the one that connects to the tap is too big for the thread on your tap, you can always get an adaptor.

**Q: Does this connect directly to 1/2 inch irrigation piping?**
A: It should do the outlet coupling is standard.

**Q: Can this be used manually, i.e. If I have it connected to a dual outlet with a hose on one outlet can I switch the controller to manual?**
A: Yes the dial knob can select manual "on" but it automatically starts the timer (shown on the screen) so that it turns-off after 30 minutes. The 30 minutes can be changed once started but I can't recall if the 30 minutes default time can be changed. This is a very good timer. I have had it all summer and it has work very well an is easy to change settings.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Expensive but works as expected

This makes it easy to control two lines for irrigating different parts of your garden Minimum time for watering - 5 minutes You can water every 8 hours - so maximum of 4 times a day Each channel can be connected to a moisture sensor to control watering. One issue: when off and connected to the mains they drip slowly - not a lot but not nothing either. The interna valves are not good enough it seems to me.
