Eradicated my rat problem first time.
I live next door to a family that has several dogs. They are always leaving food in the garden for the dogs and that attracts mice and rats. Consequently we always have rat and mouse problems in and around our properties, especially later in the year when they come into the house. Last year for the first time we had rats in the house, and after taking weeks to trap the first one, I bought these. We had another two rats that I know of and both were eradicated by these boxes. I've spoken to my neighbour and he hasn't seen or heard any more since placing four of these in the garden along the fence line and two in the loft of the house. Good piece of kit. Sturdy and needs minimal maintenance. When placing outdoors put a brick or heavy stone on them to stop them blowing about in strong winds. I've discovered the slugs love the bait as well. I have no idea whether it kills them or not but you can't keep them out of the boxes.

good and easy to use
very nice and simple to use, just don't forget to put gloves before opening it, it sits nicely on the trap and other area in the house, think the rat ate a few, so hope that will end the rat problem.

Seems to be doing the trick...
Working from home I was aware we had some unwelcome visitors to the garden. They seem to have gone now. I am still putting out the trap with the poison for another week or so to make sure. I removed all the birdbood apart from the feeders with the large trays attached to catch the mess and I pigeon proofed those. Less/no mess from those. I am still able to feed the birds. My cats, prodigous hunters both and they did their best, but this second invasion were cleverer than the first. If the birds were not feeding they stayed under cover. As soon as the cats appeared the birds exited so did the new rats. I don't like killing things but I could see we would have a serious problem if I didn't do something. There are chickens a couple of doors up the street. We are going to try other deterents to keep them from nesting in the garden. The box was easy to use and fastened securely. You can string the bait on a rod or put in in loose. The bins for the bait are well away from the entrance so pets can't get to it.

Be very careful......
Please be careful when ordering this - we have used this before and the product is effective and appealing to the rodents. However, when we ordered this time the pack of bait was sent without any additional packaging, just with an address label stuck on the bag. The pack is small enough to be posted through a standard size letterbox. We found it on the doormat and our dog was VERY interested in it, he could obviously smell the peanut flavouring that's used in the bait. Had our dog found it without our knowledge I'm sure he would have easily ripped the thin plastic bag and eaten it, and either been very ill or dead. I reported this to Amazon but please be careful.

Time will tell...
I’m not a fan of killing anything but the a recent infestation of rats has left me with little alternative.Ive tried humane traps but you end up with a mad rat in a cage you can’t go near and then what?!! Plus there’s so many of them catching them one x one isn’t an answer. This product of two bait boxes and poison was the best value I could find. Coupled with excellent speedy delivery I was more than happy. You receive two large, well designed plastic boxes, a sticker to put on each box advising there last poison inside so a sensible option. The poison comes in small almost clothe like material that you skewer onto a rod and hang inside one chamber of the box. Very neat and tidy. The theory is you line the entrance with some corn or bird feed and draw them in. Rats, always stay to an edge of a room or corridor where possible , so the box is placed on one of their runs ..and then you wait. Personally I do t interfere with the box for about a week but put down a small amount of food at the entrance to keep them interested. I’ll check in a week (and update) on how much poison has gone. Big Question Pets and What happens next. Pets. I have pets so these aren’t in the house and even outside in an area where my pets can’t go ie inside a greenhouse or shed. I check the grass for any remnants of rat or poison. I’m not expecting to see any rats so being over cautious but the poison is “poison” so again it’s just over caution. Rats. Clearly they die. It takes 8-10 hours (say), so they go off into a hole and pass on. Clearly if the bait box is in your house and they live their , they will die there so think about dead rats in your house dieing in cavities. Not nice but they don’t just “disappear”. It’s poison not disappearing dust. Outside look for dead rats in case they die locally as other animals, foxes, birds, cats will/could try to eat them and therefore ingest the poison. Check regularly. Hope this (long winded), review helps. I will update on my rat problem and whether these boxes work. I’m sure they will ..

Killer sandwich
Although I have just received them and therefore have not really tested their effectiveness, I am quite confident. Let's hope so. I honestly feel like a bad person for this, being an animal lover, but this is my house and they are not invited... I never noticed them, until I put up a chandelier and some lights in the false ceiling and a baby rat fell on my head 😵💫
