This set gives you a useable fork and spoon which are solid and sturdy when open (they have a simple locking mechanism), yet fold away and store in a nice compact package the rest of the time. The two utensils hold together using magnets, and can be stored in a provided cotton pouch. Importantly, I had these inspected by security on a recent flight and whilst they took some other items off me (a small keyring penknife etc.), these were deemed acceptable for boarding a plane, so if you're looking for flight-safe travel cutlery that you can use in hang luggage, then these will currently pass muster. One thing to note is there is no attempt at a knife edge - some utensils come with at least a serrated edge, but these have nothin like that. I will however say that the spoon in particular tapers off to a very fine edge, so whilst it's not sharp, it can certainly be used kind of like a spade. Not sure if this is intentional or not, but it works!

Good, well made set

Have used the spoon and fork and both work well. Quality seems good and durable and collapse to a handy size. The magnets keep the utensils together when collapsed which is clever. The notes with the cutlery state that they should not be washed in the dishwasher. This is a bit of a concern because the steel may not be as stainless as it should. Anyway time will tell how stainless and how durable the joints are. At the moment, happy with what I’ve got and would recommend.

Excellent product

Absolutely brilliant. A tad expensive compared to others but great functionality, very compact and I have had no issues getting though flights with these although they will be seen in hand luggage and asked about. Easy to use, easy to clean, carry anywhere and convenient for travel if like me you occasionally buy a salad bowl and get to your hotel room and have no utensils for example. No regrets, almost 6 months on and still going strong.

Tolles Besteck , habe es immer im Rucksack dabei und kann bisher nichts schlechtes entdecken. Hatte schon viele andere getestet, die aber nach kurzer Zeit in die Tonne flogen. An diesem werde ich lange Freude haben

I have the earlier version of this tool. Both tools are excellent quality. They feel substantial in the hand. The new locking mechanism on the new tool is great and prevents the tool from folding upon use. The spoon and fork on the new version is slightly larger and great to use. The older version, however, has all the pieces securely locking together when not in use but not during use. The new tool closes up after use using magnets and is not as secure as the old version and the knife and spoon can separate quite easily. The new version does not have a knife. The old version has a knife that does not make the tool more bulky as it's very thin. The difference in price is seven dollars more for the old version with the knife... if I was to purchase a third tool I'd get the one with the knife.... but only because it has a knife.
