It's interesting book.

I do need to put myself to the test with arylics. Jerry makes it look so easy and this book does the same. It explains how to achieve certain aspects of picture making and it is all logical.

Useful for students of Jerry Yarnell and those striving for realism.

One book that I recommend for people that want to have useful tips to make better landscape with acrylics

This book is excellent. He explains the pigments of paint he uses, how to use complementary colors to lower saturation or increase the grayscale of the color. Everything is clearly illustrated with pictures in full color. He explains how to use a spray bottle to keep your paint wet. A small tip of me. I would use synthetic fiber brushes. I always like to use a combination of a medium gel and a little bit of retarder medium to get the oil paint consistency in an acrylic paint

I did add a few pictures of the book to give you an idea of what it has inside. I didn't want to add a whole chapter to be fair to the author and give it a chance and buy the book. I am a beginner in art. I dont know how to draw or add depth,dimension etc...and this book gives you the definition of different techniques, talks about brushes, how to mix paints so we dont have to buy oranges and different of greens etc.., and just tells you what you will learn in a classroom if college is not what you want to attend and just be a self taught person. I read negative reviews and i dont agree with their opinions but i respect their opinion. It is a small book but it does have everything you need to learn how to paint. I do give this author Jerry Yarnell a 5 star rating

Excellent book. I'm sure there are tons of great books for all mediums. I liked this one, I felt it gave me alot of useful information as well as how to paint, techniques, etc.
