Amazing lens
I couldn't be happier with the NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR. For the price point, the performance is absolutely stellar. The internal zoom is a massive plus; it keeps the lens balanced and prevents the barrel from extending, which is huge when you’re tracking fast-moving subjects like birds or wildlife. The VR is rock solid, allowing for crisp handheld shots even at the 600mm end. Autofocus is snappy and quiet, and the image quality remains sharp across the entire zoom range. Whether you’re shooting at the local park or out in the field for a full day, this lens delivers professional-level results without the weight or cost of a prime super-telephoto. If you are looking for a versatile lens that can handle everything from medium-range subjects or birding, this is easily the best lest for the money you can get for the Z series

Excellent quality, versatile lens
This lens is large, heavy, pricey and completely worth it. I've been on waitlists to buy this lens for months and finally decided to pay a rather hefty premium (~17%) through a reputable Amazon seller just to obtain it. As much as I hate to spend over list price, I'm glad I did. It's simply not as available as I'd like. Curse you, "Supply and Demand"! You win again! [grin] I've been impressed with the clarity of the photos taken with this lens. The internal zoom keeps the lens nicely balanced on a tripod or when using the tripod mount hand-held. I've read comments about images not being as crisp at 600mm as the are at 180-360mm or so compared to a 600mm prime lens. I have to say that I can't think of any telephoto zoom lenses I've ever used (Nikon, Canon, Zuiko) that can compare to their telephoto prime counterparts. The optics are simply different. I agree that there is some degradation at 600mm with this lens, but for my purposes it is negligible. As an example, the attached photo was taken with a Nikon Z7-II at full zoom, 600mm, ISO 64, f/6.3 at 1/400s. I didn't expect this beautiful bird to show up and I had no tripod handy, so this was taken hand-held. Focus centered on the eagle's wing and as can be seen in the cropped image, the detail is fantastic. DOF is pretty narrow, though. Look closely at the wing feathers to see how sharp the lens is. I've been extremely pleased with this lens and recommend it highly if you need the versatility of 180mm to 600mm. Maybe Nikon will ramp up production?

My favorite lens
Awesome lens! Unless you're a total pro who thinks money is no object for camera gear you will probably REALLY like this lens. The zoom feature makes it so much easier to find your subject than just starting at 600mm. This lens works great with the Nikkor teleconverters. I have taken some really cool shots of the moon at 1200mm effective focal length. f/13 isn't a problem for that shot, either. This is hands down my favorite lens. Using it with a Z9 body.

The good, bad and ugly - watch purchases from Procam
The good - Love the lens. For the price point, you can't beat this lens for wildlife and birding. To me, it's heavy for hand-held, but at 600 mm, you'd want a tripod anyway. Very happy with the lens. The bad - Procam sold the lens with a "CL‑C6 Lens Case". While technically this might be accurate, in reality, this "case" is actually a microfiber sleeve, not a lens case. You'll need to buy a real case for protection. The ugly - Procam charges a 15% restocking fee, unless the lens is defective, which should have been made clear on the product site. Instead, the returns section reads "30 day refund/replacement". You actually have to go to the Procam site to see their restocking fee policy. While I don't intend to return the lens, at this price point, a $285 restocking fee is not a surprise you should pull on your customers. More transparency is needed, if you want to build trust in your customer base.

Love this lens
I purchase this to replace my Sigma 150-600S for my D5, its on my new Z6 III and they pair up great. It's 4lbs lighter which really helps save my shoulders and not need to have another rotator cuff sugery. Very quick focus and gives me nice sharp images.

Great telephoto lens for amateur photographers.
Excellent zoom lens - sharp and relatively easy to use handheld. Good value for a refurbished lens! Obviously, don't expect any possible Bokeh effect, but that's not what it is meant for!

Fantastic lens from Nikon
The Z 180-600 mm lens is fantastic in every way. This is the second lens that I've ordered. The first one I received was new and looked the part, but unfortunately I found when it's mounted to my camera body it had way too much play. Every time I hold the camera into shooting position I can feel the subtle movement. I returned it after speaking to an Amazon representative because we felt it had a manufacturer fault. Upon completion of the return I immediately reordered another. To my enjoyment the new one delivered. It doesn't have that amount of play and I'm so delighted. Can't say enough about the lens. If you're considering if you should get one, stop delaying, get it. Five starts +++

LOVE this lens
I went from a Tamron 150-600 for my D850 to this with my Z9, since the Tamron didn't work with my Z9 at all. I LOVE the quality, I LOVE that thr lens doesn't extend with using zoom (but it's something to get used to!).
