These lights are high quality, durable, easy to use and very bright. We use these regularly in the home when power goes out, but they would be great for camping. They are light and easy to carry. Highly recommend having these on hand they are superior to a flash light for lighting your way in my opinion.

I bought 3 of these lanterns after numerous power outages in our neighborhood sometimes lasting multiple days. The different settings were great as sometimes you just need soft light and other times, I wanted to build a puzzle. My 89 year old mom lives with us and it was so easy for her to operate, light to carry and bright enough for her poor night vision. These were much better than the candles and flashlights we were using. After several uses, we haven't had to replace the batteries. So glad I bought them .

Bright and worth it

My uncle and cousin was admiring my lantern so I purchased both of them one. The freeze came through knocking out the electricity for SEVERAL weeks. THIS lantern was their ONLY form of light and also charging capability. HE bragged and bragged and bragged about it! I was SO happy to hear it!! It was SO bright! I have used it multiple times walking to my car in the pitch black dark and it gave me perfect visibility!

I like this lantern alot with one exception - there is no way to tell if you're using solar charged battery (internal) or the D-cells you put inside it. I mean, if you didn't have D-cells installed, you'd know - but if you've got the D-cell batteries in there so you can use them up and then the solar or whatever, there's no way to tell which power source you're running on.

Nice and big, and bright. In fact, mine arrived in packaging advertising 3,000 lumens, so it is actually a thousand lumens brighter than its Amazon page claims. I don't know if there is a new model, if that is the reason, buy I was pleasantly surprised when I found out. Also, the battery is 4400 mWh according to the box, so if you intend to use this lantern to charge other things, it's got a pretty decent battery as well. You can even flip up the solar panel, set a phone down on top of it and charge wirelessly. Overall, I am very impressed, and I haven't even bothered to get any D-cell batteries for mine yet.

Boy, are these ever bright! Great for power outages. They light up a room. Used as a table lamp they provide ample light for reading or writing. I have several for emergency lighting yet have never put a battery in any of them because the solar cell works so well. I just set them outside for a few hours of sunshine. Don't know how long the solar cell lasts. The longest I have used it was for a power outage that lasted an hour or so. But no worries. If an outage goes so long it runs down the solar cell, I can just put in batteries.

Bought this after a power cut and, found wanting. Candles inadequate and torches sad through underuse. This brilliant. Charge it up at no cost, could even put it outside to charge it solar in the summer. We are 76 and needed something to rely on. Very happy with this. Recommend.

Very bright and useful lamp, for a good price.

Fantastic strong light (dimmable) and no chance of it running out of power. I used it camping this weekend but found it difficult to find the On Button during the middle of the night. When I got home I glued a rubber knob onto the Start button so I could FEEL where the button was. That works a treat. I wish the manufacturer would correct this only flaw and raise the button so it can be felt when blind.

I like it so much, I bought a second one. I use this light for camping and also as emergency power outage back up. When I am camping I use on low and it lasted the week without having to recharge. I use it quite a bit at night when camping so I was surprised. When I used it on high it lasted about a day to day and a half so I don't use it on high at all. The lower light is strong enough. Amazing light.
