On the diehard batteries,  when did.they stop the lifetime warranty?  That was always why my family only bought diehard, just like the craftman tools.

I don't know when they stopped. but Diehard batteries did originally carry a lifetime warranty. My best friend replaced his OEM battery in a 1971 GTO wiyh a Diehard and had the battery replaced several times at no cost through Sears. At some point they started giving him grief about doin it, but he had kept all the documentation for the original sale and warranty and Sears honored it for more than 15 years before he sold the car.

Re. 3 year direct replacement by amazon. how is the dead battery proven? does the dead battery have to be shipped back to amazon? shipping charges?

Just got off the chat with technical support.  In order to get the replacement battery, you need to drive to the closest Sears or K-Mart in person with your Amazon order printed out.  Or if you complain to Amazon support, they will give a few dollars back without having to do anything with the dead battery (he offered $74 if I shut up. The battery failed after 11 months, so I should have gotten at least the prorated value of the 25/36 months remaining in the warranty.)  Note that most of the Sears and K-Marts around the country have closed, so good luck finding one.

Will this battery work for a generac 22,000 kw generator?

Thank you for your inquiry.  Although battery, model 38275 is designed to work on automotive applications, it appears to meet two of the three requirements needed for your generator.  It does contain more than 540 CCA and it is a 12V, but you should confirm the application with GENERAC.
