Its just the cymbals right? No Stand?

That is correct. Just the two Cymbals. You must buy a stand separately.

What makes this hihat pair good for beginners? Will a seasoned drummer enjoy playing with these ? Are they long lasting ?

I’ve had mine for 2 years on my pearl set, but I have the 14”. I here the 13” have a better sound. If that’s true it’s worth getting them. The 14” sound better than my zbt’s and my B8’s and I’m going to buy another set for my Ludwig drum set! The sound is that great! I’ve been playing for 35yrs and these are built to last! So yes an experienced drummer would be happy with these. I’ve seen them used by great drummers on you tube, that’s what had me convinced how great they are.

Besides the obvious, what is the difference between the 13 and 14 inch? The 13 are way more $&.

The 14 inches give a little more open tone and a louder more bright "chk" sound when you hit it
