Got the unit today. I formatted in a Atomos Ninja Ultra and then had to go into file exploper (PC) and give the card access. Once done, I was able to copy a 4k 422 10bit file of 57Gb. It transfered quickly and played back without the hitch. Placed into the Ninja with a Lumix BGH1 at 4k 60p and card could not, did not and cannot record. The card sent a warning to the Ninja, 'compressed resolution to 720p. I switched to my standard set up: 4K DCI vLOG 24P, 422 / 10 bit and record for two hours and 11 minutes. Card never quit. Played back and perfect. Let's hope this card has legges.

This inexpensive (at the time) unit saved an old laptop from going to the landfill after it's hard drive got flaky.

I hope this review helps someone avoid the same experience I had. I edit videos and regularly transfer large files to external drives. I’ve been using a LaCie external HDD for years without any problems. It’s slower, but it has always been reliable. I decided to upgrade to an SSD for faster transfers. Most SSDs were expensive, so I bought the fanxiang 2TB SSD because it was much cheaper. When I tested the speed, I got around 380 MB/s write and 420 MB/s read, which seemed acceptable. I started transferring large Apple ProRes videos from my iPhone and Sony Log video files. Later, I discovered that some of my files were missing. I tried backing up the remaining files to another drive, but the fanxiang SSD kept disconnecting. Every few minutes it would stop working, and I had to unplug it and plug it back in. This happened over and over again. I was panicking because I didn’t want to lose my footage, but unfortunately I lost a lot of important files. After that, I bought a 2TB SanDisk SSD. It cost more, but it has worked flawlessly and transfers files smoothly. Now I understand why reliable SSDs cost more. My data is worth protecting. I returned the fanxiang SSD, and to make things worse, I was charged about a 25% restocking fee. That was incredibly frustrating, especially after losing my files because of this drive. I know this SSD is cheaper than many others, but I would not recommend it for anyone storing important photos, videos, or work files. My experience was very disappointing. Many reviews are positive, but based on what happened to me, I cannot recommend this product. Don’t risk your valuable data just to save a little money.

Fast hard drive. Gave new life to an older computer that the hard drive died.

The first thing I noticed was the quality. It feels well-made and durable, which immediately gave me confidence that it will last. Setup/use was straightforward, and the instructions were clear enough that I didn’t have to spend much time figuring things out. Performance-wise, it does exactly what it promises. Oct 16 2023: I am not sure if this drive is QLC or TLC. It says something else on its website and information page but has some other info on the drive. Cannot tell if this is honest business practice by the manufacturer or not. Why do you have to mislead the buyers? I may possibly return this and buy a samsung or patriot instead IF I cannot find correct spec of it being TLC or QLC drive. I may keep it if it is indeed TLC with an SLC cache; because then it will be a decent cheap 2TB drive to add. I am deliberating on this still. Reviews by users suggest this may not be a bad deal. Update Oct 21–. Im keeping it. I connected. It was initialized and ready in 2 minutes via a sata external case I bought and Im good to go. I will use this as an external storage drive. Will possibly buy the pro version next and add another 2TB if it goes on sale. Its the cheapest ssd so far. Still not sure if its tlc or qlc. Updated Dec 1 2025: Im getting good results as external drive with USB-C connection. Tested with Samsung Magician for speed and its above 550MBPS Read and 480MBPS Write at no activity other than storage of movies only. So far it’s been good. I have shifted all movies and songs to this because that is not so important data. All the imp data is on Samsungs. Read Write speeds are slow as mentioned but could be also due to external connection via USB-C through a SATA enclosure. Im not complaining at all. Better than HDD or Fake Samsungs sold by walmart from China. I think for the price this 2TB with 3 year limited warranty is not a bad decision at all to save unimportant files. Go for it..!
