This NEEWER Super Clamp is robust and really versatile. 1) Robust construction - Except for a few pieces where it makes sense to use ABS, the main clamp is mostly metal and will withstand serious conditions. 2) Steadiness - The clamp uses tension to control the grip(s) to great effect, it is very steady when in use. 3) Versatility - The freedom to attach this to anything that the clamp will fit is a huge advantage. It also works with 1/4" thread on standard tripods, and has a cold shoe slot built in. The "swing arm" can be adjusted 360 ° and works with cell phones or sports cam. 4) Portability - It has a small frame about the size of your palm, making this very easy to carry with. I am impressed with the quality of the build. I also like the fact that you can set it up freely, and it gives the assurance that it will hold on to your equipment.
