The instructions were OK but a YouTube video is better. Difficult job, but here are a few tips: use the thin splunger to get started ungluing the batteries. Then use the wide one to slowly cut through the original foam sticker ring. when you get them all to release and can remove the battery, and now you will need to clean up the residue. I started with goo gone on a cotton ball the get the black foam to release and scraped it away. I followed up with parts cleaner on cotton to melt the remaining clear glue and wiped it clean. Let it dry and you are ready for install. Good luck!

So I just finished installing this in my 2015 MacBook, and my computer not only starts properly, but no longer needs to be plugged in constantly! I don’t know long this battery will last, but changing it out gave me the confidence to know that I will be able to do it again if it craps out before the computer. The included tool kit had exactly what I needed to do it, and it wasn’t the hardest thing to do either. It did not have rubbing alcohol though, but that is understandable. I didn’t have a small bottle to apply rubbing alcohol, so I used Q-tips. After I gently removed the old battery, I kept on applying rubbing alcohol to the old glue to make it easier to remove. Once that was done, the rest was easy. The hardest part was replacing the keyboard cable that I broke at the very end of the battery install.

I fixed my MacBook 2017 with this battery replacement kit! I followed the instructions carefully! Now my battery is super healthy. I think it can run for another 5 years. Haha.

DO NOT BUY FOR A1534. It literally fried my laptop. Even plugged into the old battery to make sure. And sure enough, it completely fried the board. Absolutely gutted I just lost my favorite on-the-go macbook I paid 300 dollars for 7 years ago. I can't even go for a return at this point cause I accidentally threw away the packaging it came in and I don't have a spare box to ship it in. As you can see in the photo, no orange light to indicate charging. It's dead. I hope the owner sees this review and refunds me for frying my laptop, cause I don't have another option otherwise.

This battery was overheating and didn't hold a charge for very long. Had it installed for a month before seeing problems.

MacBook is running again but the cycle count still shows as over 1000. Anyone else have the same issue or know how to fix it?

It fits my macbook. The install is a little unnerving due the nature of what's being done, but the products fits well.

die anleitung wirkt auf den ersten blick wirr, aber man versteht schnell wie sie tickt und kommt damit auch gut klar. es ist wirklich alles gut beschrieben und man hat keine Probleme den austausch alleine zu machen. das entfernen vom kleber ist wirklich eine strafarbeit, aber da kann der verkäufer nichts für, dass apple da so ein teufelszeug verwendet. der akku sitzt absolut perfekt und lässt sich auch super simpel ausrichten. ich habe mir vom alten ein bild gemacht und beim hin kleben ein wenig drauf geschaut, dann sitzt auch alles absolut perfekt. der austausch ohne kleber entfernen wäre in 15 minuten erledigt, dank des klebers braucht man aber gut ne stunde, wenn man es gewissenhaft und ordentlich macht. der akku wird anstandslos erkannt. es hat nach dem zusammenbau etwa 5 minuten am ladegerät gedauert, bis der mac ein lebenszeichen von sich gegeben hat, war schon etwas unruhig aber dann kam ein bild und ich konnte ihn starten. evtl könnte der verkäufer hier einen tip zum startup nach dem tausch oder hinweis wie lange man warten soll geben, denn ein ungeduldiges mensch könnte hier schon wieder zum schraubendreher greifen, weil er angst hat etwas falsch gemacht zu haben. ob der Akku die 85€ wert ist muss jeder selbst entscheiden. mir wäre es das definitiv wert gewesen.
