Great deal and works just as good as my Dyson but better!
I waited a year to write my review because I want to first use the product for a while before I give an opinion. Too often people jump on here and immediately write their reviews and I don’t think you can write an accurate review after only 7 days or a month. First off, this iron is an amazing value. You really get a great deal for the money. I have a fancy Dyson and I started hearing about the steam iron and I figured I would try it but I didn’t want to invest a ton of money on it since I already have something that works fine. I took a chance on this product and I love it. It’s my go to for everyday styling and the steam makes your hair shiny and silky. It’s truly amazing. I usually don’t use up all of the water in the reservoir and if you are, then you’re clearly over using the flat iron and my guess is that you’re going over the same strands multiple times and putting on too much unnecessary heat. Honestly you really don’t need to go over the same pieces multiple times. I can flat iron my hair in one swipe and it stays flat and soft for days. The fact that people think the reservoir is too small is a little baffling because it’s a flat iron, how big do you want the product to be? If the reservoir was made bigger than people would complain the iron is too bulky (like my Dyson). The only reason this is my go-to product is because it’s small enough to fit in my bag and it gets the job done so fast. The shine and silk is a plus. I have long hair, down to the middle of my back. I try and only use one styling tool a week to protect my hair from unnecessary heat. Clearly this product is not too damaging because my hair stylist says I barely ever have split ends. She can tell when people use flat irons because the damage from the heat shows. As I stated in the beginning, this product is amazing. Of course not everything can be perfect , my only complaint is that in the center of the iron underneath the heating plates , there’s a circular rubber pad that works when you press down on the plates by releasing steam. You can turn this feature on or off, in case you prefer not to use the steam option. Well my complaint is that sometimes my hair gets caught and pulls when I’m flattening my hair fast. If you take your time you don’t have this issue and I’m sure you can avoid this rubber pad if I lifted my arm more but sometimes I’m in a hurry and I forget. My iron is still working and I’m great condition and I take this thing with me everywhere. It has taken a beaten and had a few falls. I love my flat iron and I love the steam option because it gets rid of any fly always. Give it a try and you will love this tool. If you don’t then return it. I love mine so much I bought one for my daughter. I’ll try and upload pictures.

Best iron I’ve found and you can’t beat the price
This works amazing, I have tried the more expensive versions and this beats them all hands down. I have very fine hair and it works perfectly. When straightening hair be careful for the silicon part between the handles you hold sometimes I don’t pay too much attention and my hair gets pulled but I stop and take my hair out to prevent breakage. Other than that this is the best option I found to prevent significant heat damage to hair.

Great straightener!
I had no idea steam straightening existed! Saw a review for a very expensive one, looked around here and found this one, good reviews/pictures and much better price! The steam part isn’t the greatest and I don’t straighten my hair every day but it works well! My hair is very curly in a weird way so straightening with this is my best option! I do recommend this tool, along with straightening spray, which I use. It was recommended on this page. For the price it’s worth a try!

Japanese straight can be curled
It works to curl Japanese straight chemical straightened hair. It's the only way I can curl my hair. It's very safe and quiet I thought it wasn't even on until I put my fingers on it. The steam is mild mist perfect distribution. The was going to give it 4 stars because filling the tank is annoying. But after looking at other steamers I realized every single one has the same design. This one is better though because it's thin enough to curl your hair.

Extremely Dry Low Porosity Hair
After much trial and error, I have finally found the solution for my extremely dry low porosity relaxed hair. I am biracial and have fine hair. Even so, I have a ***LOT*** of it and was always directed toward products that simply did not work for that hair type. My hair went from damaged to extremely dry. The solution is equal parts tools and products. No protein, heavy oils, and no silicones as they coat the hair and prevent my hair from being moisturized. My hair becomes extremely dry and my scalp reacts by creating so much oil which results in dandruff and extremely oily roots. This, of course, would leave me to wash my hair due to the scalp which resulted in a vicious cycle. This iron comes in as the last step as I found that it seals in moisture which results in shiny, silky hair that does not pouf due to absorbing the little moisture from the air (I live in Arizona). It also results in hair that feels and smells like washed hair - no burnt smell at all. Once straightened, the hair **stays** straight. At night, I use a bonnet and wake up to hair that needs one brush through and it still looks great. This flat iron has saved me time, frustration, tears, and money. The only time I have been in love with my hair was when I left the salon. I actually love my hair now - a first. I actually get compliments now. I use about half of the steam cartridge and always make sure to turn the steam on once the iron reaches 430 degrees per the tips that came with the box. The combination that I use is the following: 1. Amika Hydro Rush Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave-In Spray a. 4U By Tia Clarifying Shampoo every third wash or so. b. Amika Hair Mask 1x a week or so with weather changes c. The Dream Routine by Amika with weather changes. 2. Pureology Color Fanatic Heat Protectant Spray 3 Blowdried hair at medium setting with pik attachment to straighten any new growth. 4. Dorisilk at 430 5. Couple of drops of pure hair oil such as Brigeo (the one with the rose in it as it is light). 6. Silk bonnet. Update: I just came back from my stylist and for the first time ever no ends to trim and no complaints about my hair being dry! Update #2: It has been close to about 6 months since I had this product and my hairstylist no longer complains about my hair being dry and one time she forgot to trim the ends because they looked so good! Again, this combined with Amika has saved my hair!

Durability...Not for me!
Purchased September 8, 2024 for $40 for personal use. Worked pretty good until...June 21, 2025 getting ready for my mother-in-law's funeral and I hear a loud bang come from this flat iron on the counter! It's dead. Threw it in the garbage and wore my hair curly, as we were out of town. It's more expensive initially, but I've have had cortex brand in my salon that last up to 6-7 years...think I'll stick with them. Note: Almost every brand of steam iron I've used has an issue at some point with needing the plastic "tank" replaced. Replacements can be a pain to find. This one leaked fairly early.

Flawed design
Unfortunately I went to return this after the 30 days and could not. I do not recommend buying this. The water reservoir is VERY hard to fill and has to be filled OFTEN! The unit doesn’t stay on forever, it turns off and when it does, you can get burned by hot dripping water if you don’t notice it’s turned itself off. It’ll still straighten your hair without water, but the defeats the purpose of wanting to use steam on your hair. So while it does work, it doesn’t work easily or properly because you won’t necessarily always get steam on your hair without very, very often refilling or TRYING to refill the water. My hairdresser uses a Loreal Steampod which is VERY expensive so I got this so as not to spend a lot of money. When she does my hair she only fills the water once and I can hear the steam every single time she does a section of hair. So I went ahead and spent the money to myself one..unfortunately the manufacturer//seller doesn’t stand by their product and few weeks after the 30 days return policy, they will not refund your money. I’d be glad to send it back, I have all the packaging in pristine condition. I haven’t even removed the protective plastic on the outside of the water reservoir. But if you can’t afford $250 for a Loreal, don’t mind not ALWAYS having steam, don’t mind spending more time filling the tank than actually using it on your hair, then this will do!
