Saphir Beaute Du Cuir Pate De Luxe High Gloss Black Shoe Polish 50ml

What a nice wax polish this is! Tin is a nice piece, with a larger opening mechanism than the more mass-market competitor. Opening it up, you're greeted with a nice sheen of wax polish that has a very floral scent (think classic floral perfume that is prominent, but not overpowering -- you won't smell it on your shoes after a buff). The wax layers on nice and natural, rather than thick and goopy. Only the weight of your finger is enough to gather a nice layer (perfect for those going after the mirror shine). While it layers on thin and does take quite a bit of time to get to a mirror shine, the results are much more pleasing than its competitors, which just don't quite get there for me. In the photo, the left shoe has no additional polish beyond the 2 protective layers on the entire shoe, while the right shoe has the mirror shine on the toe box. It did take quite a bit of time to get there (~ 2 hours), but that speaks more to the shoes getting their first polish and my technique rather than the wax. Really quite a contrast compared to how they were out of the box. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend Saphir to anyone wishing to 1) protect their shoes and ensure their longevity -and/or- 2) trying to attain that awesome mirror finish.

This is definitely the best shoe polish on the market. You can feel it right away. The buttery feel is unmistakable. Why didn’t I try it earlier?

After investing in a new pair of dress shoes I wanted to upgrade my care routine. After reading several reviews I decided to invest in a can of "Saphir Beaute Du Cuir Pate De Luxe High Gloss Black Shoe Polish." After using it a couple times, I'm very pleased with the quality of the shine. I do first clean the shoes thoroughly before applying the polish, an important step. After working a tiny amount of polish into the leather, letting it dry, I brush it with a good quality horse-hair brush then finish it with a brisk microfiber cloth buffing. Perfect!

I have only been using this for about a month but haven't got the gloss I'm trying for. I still have high hopes though. Perhaps in a few months when I'll be using the second or third tin of this stuff I'll be happy. It does not seem to have a strong dye in it either. But it will shine up boots well if they're already glossy from a different polish (I've used Lincoln) for a few years now).

This stuff is legit. I was using both Angeles and Kiwi Parade Gloss on my duty boots. This stuff shines up way faster and far better. It smells awesome in comparison too. It is far softer than other polishes I've used, but that makes it much easier to get a mirror shine. It isn't super durable, but if you have ever mirror shined a shoe or boot, you know it is a delicate finish regardless. A shine usually lasts three to four shifts before I redo it.

It goes on smoother, softer, smells better and does a better job shining. Definitely recommend.

Finally, an amazing shine that lasts! Easy to apply and brush off. A result that visibly different from other shoe polish.
