I have used the original TubShroom in the past and now have this 21 pack disposable option on subscription to ship every 5 months. My hair is shoulder length and I need to clean the strainer every other shower. It's much easier to clean if you do it while it is dry (before your shower). Everything pulls off easily and zero slime factor. Ideally, you should probably clean it at some point between each shower. This is hands down better than the original when it comes to cleaning ease. I think it also fits the drain better and performs better than the original. It is easy to install and remove. While it sits below the drain line, it's also easier to look down and see how much hair has accumulated. The reusable shroom requires you to remove it to see the accumulation. While that's fine if you're good about keeping a schedule, it's not great for me. I might tell myself "I need to check that and clean it" but my ADHD mind will completely forget I told myself to do that unless I'm looking right at something.

These work great. I had been buying the original Tubshroom with the chrome cap. They worked well to catch hair. But they would get really slimy and gross to clean after every shower. These disposable ones are much better. They are much easier to clean due to the style and harder plastic style. Plus just one lasted two months. Much more economical.

I purchased these to replace reusable silicone mushroom hair catchers that I had for about a year. Those had gotten difficult to clean and were staining with mold so I wanted something I could toss if got yucky. I purchased a box of these. So far they hold up very well for CONTINUED use and I've only replaced them once since I've had them. THEY LAST FOR WEEKS! Don't throw them away when they are full of hair, just pull the hair off and clean them regularly and they last longer than the 3-4 weeks they suggest. They clean right up and are reusable! I would NOT throw these away when they get full of hair. That is wasteful and more plastic in the trash. There's no reason these can't be reused until they break (which haven't yet) or get gross and easier to throw away than to scrub clean. I have a big pack of 21 and have had them for 2.5 months and have only replaced them once. I have long thick hair, so I pull the hair off of these once or twice a week, and clean it off. This makes it last a lot longer and doesn't let it get so yucky that you don't want to touch it. If you really want them to last and have several people using the shower, I would pull the hair off daily even to keep it clean. PROS: Great price - less than $1 each Can be used and reused with regular hair removal and cleaning. Easy to Clean - sprayed with a bathroom spray and let sit for a bit and rinsed off Easy to install - I dropped into my tub drain with the flat part down and the hair collects around the round top. I installed upside down in my sink that had no stopper drain (because it was getting yucky) and it collects anything that drops in. CONS: Not the most environmentally friendly - plastic - but they can be used and reused for a long time They fit my regular size drains, but not clear they would fit all drains easily They aren't too noticeable, but I only use in my bedroom bathroom, they may look cheap if you have a nice guest room bathroom

These are great for disposable use. Catch hair fairly well, but do fill up quickly. Not good for long term. Hence disposable. Have bought several times. Worth the money you save on a plumber having to unclog your drain.

I didn't want something disposable but decided to buy these since the reusable one did not work that well for me. I genuinely love these; it catches all the hair and is very sturdy for a disposable. I go through 1 of them in a month because I just pull the hair off and rinse it every few days. It will only stop flow of water if you are using thick creams in the shower, but it is very easy to clean off. I definitely recommend these over the "reusable" ones.

Really works, catches long hair, drains well, easy to clean, fits and stays in place, seems durable, 21 will last for a very long time. Better design as compared to basket strainers. CLOSED END UP IS CORRECT!

If you have long hair, these are only good for one use. While they do keep the hair out of the drain, they clog very quickly and you find yourself in standing soapy water before the end of the shower. I only used them a few times before I gave up, I'd rather pull the hair out of the drain than deal with these.

Great product I swap theses weekly and have girls with long hair, eases blockages

I’m not sure if it’s a product issue or simply that we shed too much hair, but we’ve had to replace it every two days because it clogs up so quickly. On the plus side, it works exactly as intended and swapping to a new one is very easy. I do wish the design could be improved so it wouldn’t stop working so fast, but overall it still deserves 5 stars for doing its job well and being user-friendly.

Fab as stopped a lot of hair going down the drain .

I got tired of the silicone hair catchers that fit inside the drain, but the metal center starts to rust after the first shower. Then I tried the silicone ones that just sit over drain and suction cups hold it down. It didn’t catch all the hair and it got a gross slimy film. Even with regular washing, it started to change colour from the mold that was growing inside the material. I bought this product out of desperation. The 3 of us all have long hair, so we need to have something to prevent the drain from clogging. There is at least one person showering or washing their hair each day. It seemed very expensive at first, but we are still using the first one and it’s been exactly 6 months, and it is still in good shape. Even if one lasts 12months, the package will last years, and we have 3 tubs in the house. When you first start using it, the feet are stiff and putting it inside the drain isn’t hard, just takes a bit more effort. It doesn’t take long for the feet to adjust to the size of your drain, and then it drops in easily. Because the water has a circular motion when draining, the hair wraps around it. You’ll be shocked at how much hair it can hold and still allow the tub to drain. It’s better to clean it off when the hair is still quite wet, because it comes off easier. Cleaning it each time helps the water drain properly, and stops the nasty foot baths. 😄. What I really like, is because it’s all plastic it doesn’t rust, mold or get that slimy film. It hasn’t discoloured either. I would definitely recommend this product

Build quality is superb. It's advertised as disposable but really, it's super easy to clean. It's made of high quality plastic so really, disposing it after one use is very wasteful. I suspect this 21 pack is going to last me a couple years with regular cleaning and maintenance of each one. Fits a lot of my sinks and bathroom drains. A little too small for kitchen sinks though but it's not advertised for it. Overall very happy with the purchase
