Q: A lot of people saying this tastes nasty. It must be polarizing like cilantro. This brand tastes just like beer. Not nasty at all?

I guess we all have different tastes, I love cilantro! I tried the brewers yeast with different mediums and it still tasted bitter to me. It sure didn't taste like beet to me. My Husband LOVES beer but said it never tasted like beer to him.

Q: Has anyone used this brand to make lactation cookies?

Yes, I have. The typical lactation cookie recipe calls for 2-4 Tablespoons of brewer's yeast, but 4 tbsp was too bitter for me. Keep it around the 2-3 tbsp mark, and they'll be delicious!

Q: can I use it to brew beer/wine?

Best answer is no. If it hasn't been deactivated it would make crummy tasting beer. Use dry yeast from grocery store instead.

Q: What brand is debittered?

Oh they all are but the texture and taste vary with every brand. Some atre more nutty in taste. That’s good.
