Great expansion to a great game

Not perfect, but still worth getting if you like the base game
It's an interesting expansion, and a good addition to the base game, with two minor complaints: 1. The seahorse card is completely busted (way too strong, and also makes mermaids stronger because they are the same color), so my group usually takes it out. This is fine though, the game does not suffer from removing the seahorse. 2. The sea star card rules are a little ambiguous. In particular, does it grant +2 points if it's left in your hand at the end of the game without having been played? My group has decided that it is worth points unplayed if you also have an unplayed duo, but not otherwise. The number of cards you get is slightly too few for the price, and the printing quality is slightly worse than the base cards (they are off-center, as you can see from the uneven border). But the game is still great, and the expansion was a worthwhile purchase.

Definitely buy to add to the base game
Great expansion for the original game. Sea Salt and Paper is a family favorite! This expansion adds a little more variety to the base game.

This expansion is super fun. It adds some nice new ways to score points without changing what makes the game fun in the first place. I'm looking forward to the next expansion.

It is a more of the same with a few twists. When we got the base game, and played it, we immediately went for more content. I highly recommend this expansion!
