It's Wm. Steig so of course it's wonderful! All the Steig hallmarks- magic. humour, rich language, surprises and the happiest of endings- with a twist.

That's my daughter's rating. She loved this quirky story when she was in elementary school. She checked it out from her school's library over & over again. Book was new & arrived in excellent condition.
