## Description

desertcart.com: Skyflame 12-Inch Round Fire Pit Burner Ring, 304 Stainless Steel : Patio, Lawn & Garden

Review: Works well! - We had a lot of thought weather to go with the standard or the jets. The standard is great! I feel it gives a pretty natural fire look. The flames are plenty big too. Ensure you cover it good with fire rock, and when lighting make sure the red dial (the propane line kit) is only about half on. Light the outer ring and it should be good. If all the holes don’t light, it’s probably not covered enough which doesn’t provide enough combustion. We did ours more like a standard fire pit. Just dug into the ground for the space of the line. Put the ring on some flat bricks, filled in with 3/4 rock, and then topped with lava and the faux fire wood.
Review: Perfect replacement for 30+ year old rusted one - I have a 30+ year old fire pit where the existing fire ring looked like a rusted artifact found on the Titanic. It was missing one entire tubular 6-in section (rusted away...) and others with big holes. I should have replaced it years ago, but it was under a pyramid of lava rock and not obvious in how bad of shape it was. This one appears well built and is of stainless steel for longevity. After installation and rebuilding the lava-rock pile I have a nice, even distribution of heat. The gas holes *might* be outputting a bit less gas than optimal due to the length of time it takes to really get the fire pit rocking. But that is compared to one that had massive rusted-out holes with hot spots and voids in the heating. I could always drill open the holes a little if I wanted. But I've been using it for years, and the slight slowness heating up the rocks initially has not motivated me to do that, so it really isn't a big deal. Happy customer.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: ON 12" How high is the flame?**
A: I've got my 18" Burner Ring covered with lava rock and a few ceramic logs. Using a 20# propane tank with a 10# adjustable regulator, I can set the flame to be anywhere from 6" to 36". However, the the higher the flame the faster your going to run out of propane. I've found that with the flame set at about 12", we get adequate heat and we can spend about 6-8 evenings (1-2 hours) on the back porch before i have to refill the bottle.

**Q: If using natural gas what type of regulator do i need?**
A: Dont need if gas pressure is not high, if it is then a gas regulator made for nat gas to go to 3.5 inches of water column.

**Q: For the Jet Burner ring, since the flame is so high, is it unsafe to use in windy conditions?**
A: I don't turn mine up very high. Usually keep it only about 12 to 14 inches.
Be smart where you place your pit. The wind does not cause problems for me

**Q: What’s the difference between regular and jet ring?**
A: Jet has orfice while regular is drilled holes. Jet better.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works exactly as described

We used this propane burner top for a DIY propane fire pit in our back yard. It is very easy to set up (you just screw it onto a receiving end/pipe). It's heavy (good quality, not cheap materials) and was welded together very nicely. It looks clean and as if it were professionally-installed! We highly recommend it.
