A great auxiliary filter for CVT, ATF or power steering
What a great little filter! I installed it on the power steering line of my gen 1 Toyota Tacoma and it's working great. I should have ordered 5/16" instead of 3/8", but I was able to slip the hoses over the barbed fittings after heating them in boiling water, and thankfully I have not experienced any leaks. It is lightweight enough to dangle freely when attached in line with strong hoses, or you can easily zip-tie it if needed. It is plenty durable since it is made out of metal, and while I do expect it to last and extremely long time, it's nice that it is so easy to swap out if needed in the future.

Large but great quality and effective as a temporary filter
It cleans up power steering fluid but itโs a large filter. I have a 2008 CRV and I donโt want to have it in place all the time but wanted to clean up the residual particles after a power steering rack replacement. I bled the system after install with 6 bottle of fresh Honda PS Fluid but the fluid was more amber in color for my preference. I pulled out the reservoir fluid and temporarily placed this filter plus a little 3/8 hose into the system right before the reservoir and ran the system for 30 minutes and then removed the filter. In the picture (before and after) you can see that this filter cleaned up and cleared up the fluid.

Magnefine Power Steering Return
Perfect for my 2014 Toyota Tacoma, easy DIY install on the power steering return hose to extend the life of the rack-n-pinion.

Seems to work really well.
Installed on power steering, fluid has been clear for a while now, never had that before!

Dont waste your time with plastic filters, Get this one. It works!
I ordered this filter after breaking two of the plastic filters. The metal housing is more durable and allows you to chinch the hose clamps down tight.

good power steering fluid filter
I use these as inline filters for my 2005 Chevy Silverado at the power steering system. They install nicely inline at the return fluid line/hose to help keep the system/fluid clean. Make sure the filter is installed in the correct orientation so the fluid flows in the correct direction through the filter.

Extended transmission life
Simple to install direct in 3/8 transmission line, before going to the oil cooler system. This is the second filter , took the first off and opened it. The magnet is strong and collect any and all metal particles. Helping keep my transmission fluid clean. I highly recommend this filter. I change my fluid every 30000 miles, regardless oil and filter are cheaper repairs are not. Try one of these filters, see for yourself.
