I ordered this because I have some grounding sheets I have had for a while. I stopped using them because I did not think they were really doing anything, especially after having washed them. I recently started using them again and started wondering, again, if they really worked. When I came across this grounding tester I quickly ordered because I wanted to settle this doubt I had. The instructions for use were simple enough but because I didn’t read them I couldn’t get it to work. So, for those of you who are thinking about buying this, just know that you don’t hook it up to the grounding mat, sheet or whatever the grounding equipment you are using. You attach it to the tester unit and then the other end you touch your body with. Now here is the thing, if you only have your hand on the grounding mat the light will still light up (with one hand on the mat or sheet, I hold the tester in my other hand with my finger over the metal testing pad). Or if you have your feet on it, the light will light up quickly. In other words, for the sheets (if you have grounding sheets), your entire body doesn’t have to be on it. Another thing. At first I was a little dismayed as when I would touch my leg or arm it wouldn’t light up even if I had my hand or feet on the mat/sheet, but if I touched the metal pad with my finger it would light up. I couldn’t understand why the rest of my body wasn’t grounded. But what I found is that while the tester will instantly light up when you touch the metal part with your finger, it takes a little more time for the grounding to reach the rest of your body I guess. So if you wait awhile and then touch any other part of your body with the tester, it will light up. I hope this isn’t sounding confusing. The most important thing is that the tester works. With all that being said, now that I KNOW the sheets and the mats are grounding me, I’m starting to question the effectiveness and benefits of grounding. Anyway, while this tester looks a bit on the cheap side, it works. It is lightweight and is easy to hold. The cord is long so you shouldn’t have an issue plugging it in anywhere. I’m really happy I ordered this.

Although, the instructions are limited, this grounding kit is easy to use. You have to buy AAA batteries in order to use and get started. The device has it's own removable cord. It can test a variety of products, including cords to see if they are functioning and emitting grounded energy. This device was very helpful in trouble shooting and discovering cords and connections that were faulty. So, I suggest ordering a kit to make sure your products are functioning as desired.

We bought this to be able to test our grounding sheets as it worked great just as advertised.

Where is the Safe-T-Plug(splitter)?????… missing part… this product needs a video supplied by manufacturer..

I previously bought one of those hand held devices that is supposed to tell you whether these products work or not - a total waste of time and money. Enter this handy device which is extremely easy to use. Simply connect to your wall plug and lay it on your grounding bedding, mats, etc. I discovered that one wall plug doesn't work with this device and tested everything, happy to discover everything works. This tester needs 2 AAA batteries. Buy with confidence!

When you are using grounding mats you are never really sure if they are functioning properly. I had previously tested mine and some friends using a voltage meter awkwardly, and yes that does work but if you do not have much voltage in the body at a given time it is hard to show up on some voltage tested. This is easy peasy. Not sure what they mean by a Safe-t-plug splitter....all you need to do is connect the probe from the unit into a ground, have your mat also plugged into a ground (could be from a different outlet) and put the sensor on the mat. If it is working the green light comes on, you can also unlpug your mat for a further test...if it is working properly the light will then go out.

The instructions weren’t very clear, so there was a bit of trial and error. I couldn’t figure out how to do the test using fingers on the tester, but I did work out how to test a grounding sheet: Connect the grounding sheet wire into the sheet and the ground/outlet. Plug the tester wire into the tester and the ground/outlet. Place the tester onto the grounding sheet – if it’s grounded, the green light turns on. The instructions mention testing several grounding items at once, but that requires an extra part that isn’t included in this kit. That said, this tester did exactly what I needed: confirm that my grounding sheet is grounded. Now I can test it anytime and know it’s functional – whether or not it ends up having positive effects on me.

I found this grounding tester kit to be complicated to use. Instructions are included but even after reading them several times I am still scratching my head. I inserted 2 AAA batteries (not included). I followed the instructions and turned the unit on. It flashed green once. I then place my fingers as shown by numbers in the diagram at 3 and 4 which is a section in the front and back at the same time. The LED turns bright green, a sign that it is working. Okay so far so good. Now to test my grounding mat is where I am confused. I attach the white included cord by snapping it into place at the top front section of the tester. Then I am told to plug the other end into a splitter... this is where I am scratching my head... what "splitter"? There is not one included and I can't go any further without one. Unfortunately, this tester is useless for me.

This tool is easy to use and a must have for testing your grounding mat, sheets etc to make sure they are living up to their use. It is always hard to tell if your grounding product is working as it should. I like having this tool to see everything is working or if I need to return something.
