Louise Maelys Cute Cat Embroidery Kit for Beginners DIY Needlepoint

I used this kit to introduce someone to embroidery and it worked out well. It came with everything needed, including having the floss already carded. I found the floss as good quality, not the best but easy enough to work with. And the stamped cloth had very sharp lines, making each flower/petal defined , and easy to follow the pattern. They gave enough floss to finish the project without concerns. I was happy with it.

Great for beginners! I received this as a gift for Mother's Day - I was impressed with the hoop & thread quality. The hoop is a plastic u-shape which interlocks with itself & the tension screw keeps things secure. The instructions were easy enough to follow, but as a 'backup' the step-by-step pictures were a helpful bonus. This is a 'sew by number' embroidery project meaning you're provided more than enough colored thread for each design. The only negative I could find was the 'help link/website' was invalid - so if the instructions & pictures can't get you through this project, you might be screwed.

This was my second embroidery I've done. I made it for my daughter. She loves frogs and mushrooms 😊. It was a fun pattern and not difficult. If you are looking for a first time embroidery, I'd recommend this one. I also recommend it as a fun and cute one to do! The stitches were simple, the directions were good, and it came with everything it advertised. The white pattern marks do wash off. I was able to get them off with just a wet cloth. But washing it on a gentle cycle in a mesh garment bag would be easier. Air dry it. Iron on the backside with a towel over it.

I hadn't touched embroidery since I was about 8. This seemed to have a full and complete kit. Just be careful separating thread. Directions suck on how to perform each stitch. BUT you can google each stitch and find 1-3 minute YouTube videos that walk you through the stitch you need. I gave the completed product to a friend and they seemed to enjoy it. I have purchased other kits and they all have the same issues in terms of carful measurement of thread and having to separate the thread to get the right effect.

This was the first embroidery piece my 26 year old daughter did and it really came out great. It's her in fabric in a round frame.

This was a fun project and simple enough to do with zero experience.

These are great stamped pattern and rhe black material is steady. The colors sent are horrible and need to change the colors too much red....

This kit is very beginner friendly and comes with everything you need. 3 needles, and 15 colors of 6 strand embroidery thread. The instructions include a detailed guide on how to sew the design. It also includes a tutorial for every stitch you need to know for the project. I enjoyed making embroidery my new found hobby and it was great to kill time while at work.

Cute product but there is not a full tutorial available so it’s a little confusing for a beginner like myself. As well, there is a big white circle on the canvas, maybe that washes off?

It's a cute embroidery kit. I am a complete beginner at embroidery, but not at sewing. I'm enjoying it. Pros: design is very clearly printed on the fabric but also easily washes out for when you are finished; 3 needles included; plenty of extra thread which is good for when it splits as you thread it; the instructions for which colour goes where do list the colour # and how many threads there are included; it's a cute design; has instructions on which type of stitch to use, which has pictures and written instructions Cons: needle is very small, but that might be standard size; the instructions on the stitches to use is pretty minimal (I struggled with the French knot stitch but was able to find a youtibe tutorial); the picture of the finished project does list the colour required for most of it, but I did have to guess which shade of green to use for a few smaller parts because the colour isn't listed;

The Louise Maelys funny embroidery kit was my first project beyond cross-stitch and it was so fun and fast. The instructions were easy to follow, and it came with plenty of thread. The pattern washed away easily with water only. The recipient loved the finished gift. Pros: Easy instructions, lots of thread, washable pattern Cons: None Overall: A delightful and beginner-friendly kit that makes a thoughtful gift.
