Perfect size, very good quality and lovely colour!!!

At a campsite couple of years ago no portable gas was allow because of a potential risk of fire. So no Tea or Coffee could be made in tents - Only camper-vans or purchased. Because of this I decided to purchase a solar-generator, but this was so heavy I did not used. But NOW with a greater range of solar-generators available I decided that electric tea/coffee making WAS a good idea generally, SO now I have this lovely little kettle, and a sensible size and weight generator. The kettle boil time for 500ml is acceptable and it used 14% of my generator (448wh), so I'm hoping to get over 5 boils from this per charge!. So ideal for any-day out. Pot-noodle anyone???

**Sleek and Functional, but Has Some Quirks** This RHD Electric Gooseneck Kettle is definitely stylish and ideal if you're serious about your pour-over coffee or delicate teas. The real-time temperature control with LCD display is accurate, clear, and incredibly handy, especially if precision matters to you. The gooseneck spout provides excellent control, making pouring steady and precise—no accidental spills or splashes. It heats water quickly enough thanks to the 1200W element, and switching between °F and °C is a useful feature. The matte-black finish looks fantastic on the countertop and feels premium overall. However, there are some downsides. The 0.9L capacity is a bit limiting if you're brewing for more than two people, and I also noticed the kettle body gets very hot to touch. Additionally, the lid feels slightly flimsy compared to the rest of the kettle, which detracts from its premium feel. Overall, it's a decent kettle for enthusiasts looking for precise temperature control and sleek design, but some minor build-quality improvements would make it truly excellent.

This is perfect for making on mug of coffee/tea. Just boils enough water, light enough to lift for my neighbour who had a stroke. In my opinion better than the more expensive water tank type, and in her opinion safer than the tilting kettle

Wanted a small lightweight kettle for use in my cabin on Brittany ferries when I'm travelling to Spain, the tea and coffee on the boat is utterly utterly vile, from a machine, even in the so called restaurants, the coffee especially is unbelievably horrible, tasteless watery crap. I make my coffee in my cabin in a spill proof insulated travel mug so I can go up and drink it in the lounge. Tried a couple of little 0.5l kettles, some with higher wattage, however they all were really not satisfactory, many having short fixed leads or problematic lids etc. This kettle looks quite well made, plastic outer, stainless steel inner. Boils around 350ml of cold water in around 2.5 to 3mins, a full kettle of 500ml of cold water takes around 4 mins, which is fine for my use, its compact, it has a detachable base, and a nice touch is the cable, which is about 22” or 56cm long, winds into the base, really neat. The lid is of the ”flip open” type, very easy. The kettle switches off automatically when the water has boiled. One caveat, don't get too enthusiastic when pouring out the hot water, use common sense, if you go too mad water will escape from the lid but you really need to be going for it for that to happen. Cannot vouch for longevity, time will tell…if you want a compact lightweight kettle, low wattage that does not take an age to boil, this could be it. EDIT/30/08/25 Used this kettle maybe half a dozen times no, things to note, lid does not "latch" so if your too enthusiastic pouring water out the lid can flip oen and boiling water everywhere, neither does the lid seal, so again boiling water can spray out of the sides of the lid if your too enthusiastic, lastly, it now does not switch off when boiling...so whilst initially I thought it was ok, it's just the same cheap Chinese crap that most stuff is these days, and I'll look again.

I’m looking for a one-person electric kettle for my daughter to use in college. This kettle meets the expectation. It is very sturdy, compact and simply modern. The color is soothing and cute (it has a MATTE finish). It boils water quick enough and quietly. Pouring and refilling is easy and quick due to the push button lid. I’m thinking of getting the smallest version of this brand 0.5 L for my desk at work as well. Definitely a keeper. Update: the only reason that I ordered and decided to keep the 0.5L is that it fits perfectly on my small desk at work. The 0.5L boils water not any faster than the 0.8L but it is still quiet and very cute. The color has a GLOSSY finish. The very down side of this kettle is that its cord is way TOO short. I had to plug it in an extension cord and then plug the extension cord to the outlet under my desk. I plugged it in directly to an outlet in my kitchen, just for testing, the cord is too short, the whole unit is so close to the outlet making me feel nervous handling the boiling and sputtering water. Not sure why manufacture made the cord so short to begin with. The cord starting from the heating base including the plug is 10" L total!? If you have an outlet that is high up away from your countertop surface, there is no way that the cord will reach that outlet while the heating base still stays flat on the countertop. That is the dangerous part of accidentally knocking the whole kettle over with boiling hot water. Definitely have to keep an eye on it when in use, especially around small children in the house hold. An extensions cord is a must have to better use with the 0.5L kettle for sure. I only gave 4 star for the 0.5L kettle.
