I received the genuine OREI Type D AP-10 travel adapter for use in India and Ghana, and I am very satisfied with its build quality and performance. The front outlet provides Hot, Neutral, and Ground connections, which are important when using a grounded U.S. Type B plug. The outlet slots are firm and hold the prongs securely, even with a large or heavy charger, so the charger does not loosen or fall out easily. I compared several Type D travel adapters online, and this model offered one of the tightest and most secure connections for U.S. charger plugs. It is rated for use with 220-250V electrical systems and appears to handle minor power fluctuations well. However, connected chargers and devices must also be rated for 220-240V or universal 100-240V input. Overall, this is a sturdy, well-designed travel adapter with a secure plug fit and proper grounding support. It is a good choice for travelers using compatible U.S. chargers in countries with Type D outlets.

I recently bought this electrical plug adapter for a trip to India and Nepal. I was somewhat concerned about possible power fluctuations in these countries. The adapter worked flawlessly. It appears to be well made, and the bright blue color does make it easier not to leave behind. I feel that this adapter is a good investment, and I would buy it again, and would recommend it to others.

Visited India recently and this adapter was great. Was able to plug in my phone and laptop at same time in the US slots and still had the plug if needed. No voltage/conversion issues. Great product.

Nice design, the integrated USB ports were very convenient. Never had a chance to test the surge suppressor, but as an outlet adapter and transformer, it worked perfectly.

I bought this plug for a Maldives vacation, as it appeared this was the required prongs. However, the resort we stayed at worked with a European/UK square pronged adapter. As I travel to Europe regularly for work, I already had an adapter for that, so this ended up being unnecessary. If you are traveling for a resort vacation in the Maldives, I recommend checking with your specific resort for what adapters are needed as you may already have it. That being said, this is a quality adapter, the textured rubber on the adapter gives a great feel and even with wet hands can get a good grip. The 2 USB ports are really helpful too especially when traveling to charge all your devices (e reader, camera, phone, computer, etc). If I hadn't already had a working adapter this would have a been a great purchase.

Bought the this for a trip to Nepal since there seemed to be conflicting info about what adapter was needed. Mostly used for recharging cell phone and Kindle via the usb outlet. Worked everywhere I needed it. I would note that almost everywhere I stayed had universal outlets, so a euro or other adapter may work.

These is a very crowded field of multipurpose international travel adapters and boast usage in 150 countries. I have several of them. None were compatible with the Type D outlets in Northern India and New Delhi. The local electronic stores mostly didn't carry the necessary adapters either, although I eventually found some basic ones which were (by India standards) overpriced. When I returned to the states, I wanted to buy something better. This was one of two good adapters that I found. It features 2 USB ports and (they claim) surge suppression. It is very sturdily built and should outlive me. I'm very happy with my purchase and highly recommend this unit.

Using adaptor now in India. Seems to work well. Flap for USB ports looks fragile.

Good for use in South Asia.
